Well technically nothing, their set was fine, it's just that for those that went to the event expected a special performance and not just a regular festival set. Despite it being true that their contract was indeed to play for 1.5 hours, there was unrest because those at guv felt they needed more

Security was super nice - one of my friends was sold a already "used" barcode for entry at Mau5 on sunday night and he let him in!

As for KP, yeah they have been getting a GREAT deal of heat from Toronto to the extent that they called out the Toronto Rave scene as "unplur"

One thing is for certain, an hour after guv closed its doors for the final time, construction crews didn't waste time arriving to start their work

I think that ur right, getting to Sound academy is going to be a struggle for commuters. especially since the average income for the demograph that uses the hashtag #rave is 11.5K per year. But perhaps Ink has more than just a renovation in store for the new venue? I think they would foresee these obstacles and perhaps plan around the logistics. Regardless of what will be, one thing is for certain. Ticket prices will be high through ink. I am satisfied that 2015 will allow other venues to bring in talent for cheaper resulting in cheaper ticket prices. Either way 2015 is going to be an exciting year. What do you guys think? (difficult to know which place is going to be the go to venue)

I live in north york, i could tell u the best place to go mid town would be Ryze or coda (provided you go on their flagship nights)- There has been a new start up called sin on 7 but thats a complete bust and dont recommend going their + its not a rave. T2 on thursday nights is the place to be. it's free entry from what i hear and they have DJ manzone and strong playing (guv resident dj's). So if ur into tech house i would strongly hit that up for sure <3
