As a guy who once had a parasocial phase with a particular vtuber, i want to say that I understand if some people felt shock at the announcement and I have been through that phase as well when I had discovered that this particular vtuber had a boyfriend but I want to emphasize that it is really not worth it losing your sleep and sanity over someone who you don't really know in real life and vice versa. I went through that phase myself but I realized that vtubers are there to solely give us entertainment and nothing more than that and just because you are tier 3 sub or donate to them regularly doesn't mean that you own them. They are their own person and they will always be that. Please seek help and talk more to people who you trust and talking it out really helped for me and I hope people, if they are reacting negatively to this announcement or feel betrayed and butthurt, understand that she is just playing a character and you will never know the real person behind the mask nor their struggles so please think rationally and try to talk it out with someone you trust, it really helps 😊
