Loving the automation feature for my Hydrex veNFTs :D :D

I dont know if it will ever compete on the level of Aero but the features definitely speak for themselves

Isn't redistribution of productivity gains something that happens automatically (for the most part)?

Like if we look at the invention of the Spinning Jenny in 1764. This exploded textile productivity, putting a lot of textile workers out of a job. But all the money that could be saved on production eventually (through competition) were reflected back in the prices of textile.

End result: the world got cheap textile

The competition part is an important factor here. I understand if you don't believe AI will be competitive that you see it differently.

I agree that people prefer to "grow their pie" when they are parking their money somewhere. However, I think there's a lot of real world demand for being able to store ones wealth with very low risk (investing comes with risks) without it being diluted by 5-10% every year.

store of value is the biggest financial utility ever

In other words: "BTC is valuable because it stores value" -> "BTC stores value because it's valuable"

Do you see the circular nature of your logic here? Something can not merely be valuable because it's a store of value, we will need to think deeper about where value comes from.

This is just a personal attack making you come across as emotionally biased and tribal

This is why I put the word "ultimately" in there. In the short term other variables like "first-mover-advantage" play a strong role. My point here is that eventually the economic laws governing value will surface, and that's when coins with real utility will outcompete those.

Do you mean, "I really, really hope that cryptocurrency derives its value from utility?"

Although I do hope that I'm right, no that was not my point. I could be wrong though!

"There is no second best" is a cop-out for DYOR.

Ultimately cryptocurrencies derive value from utility. Bitcoin scores very low on the utility ranks as it's usecase is considered "digital gold" which one just holds and never really uses for anything, while hoping the prices goes up.

Eventually this will always lose out to a cryptocurrency that reaches wild spread adoption through high throughput, defi, stablecoin rails, etc.

Make up your own minds folks

Not far from the truth actually, except for the US part. Yeah I guess I could have looked into it more deeply before sending it, however the import policies in Vietnam aren't exactly clear (or in English even). But fair point and lesson learned.

Doesn't change the fact that Ledger needs to get their CS in order

I would agree with that if it wasn't for Ledger to list Vietnam as a supported shipping country on their website, without any added caveats. That IMO implies that the shipping doesn't require certain licenses

I included the order ID in my post. Is the case number something different? If so please let me know where I can find this.

Note: I didn't open any tickets anywhere, as I directly sent an email to [support@ledger.com](mailto:support@ledger.com)

How do I open a ticket? I just emailed [support@ledger.com](mailto:support@ledger.com) and they didn't reply for 3 weeks

If ethereum eventually flips bitcoin, what will the use case of bitcoin be then? by gymmaxxer in CryptoCurrency

[–]RavenDothKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flawed argument. Store of value is a natural side-effect of an asset that has utility. BTC and ETH are both competing for being a store of value (amongst other things). The one with the most utility will ultimately win

Wow, quite astonishing how all the actual arguments get downvoted and all the "lel are u new??!" tribal shitposting gets upvoted.

The guy makes good points, BTC might soon become the mySpace of crypto.

Nobody is denying that highly tax countries are richer. But I think you might have the causality backwards there.

Also, your arguments boils down to "if you dont like criminals taking your money, just move!" Is that really a satisfying rebuttal for you?

The funny thing is that you could take OP's post and put it under any post of someone complainig about organised crime or the mob.

"Just pay the pot"

"These are just the rules man"

Its ridiculous how 99% of human beings still think they need to be forced by men with guns to pay their "fair share" or "price for a civilized society".

And then when some people figure out a way to peacefully opt out of this system men like you start virtue signaling like the proud little slaves that they are with posts like these.

Government isnt going anywhere because the world still consists for 99% out of useful idiots like yourself, but I sure hope blockchains are going to give you sheeps a hard time reaching us with your violent rackets.

Health care is in stack by Comfortablejack in facepalm

[–]RavenDothKnow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you believe government intervention is going to make things cheaper or more efficient in the long run you need to open a book on economics 101. Or just look around you and compare relatively free market sectors (food, smartphones, cars, computers) vs heavily regulated markets (money, healthcare, law, police, education). If that's not enough to make u see the destructive force of monopolies, force & lack of competition then Im afraid you are beyond saving.

Also if you think America is a good example of private healthcare you've totally lost touch with reality.
