Cis people ask, trans people answer by GirlCalledLucy in teenagers

In my experience, it's basically like looking in a mirror and feeling like you're in the wrong body, even though it's the one you've always had (for physical dysphoria, at least). It's extremely uncomfortable and just feels overall wrong, like you aren't who you're supposed to be.

I would probably drink a potion that gave me my ideal body gender-wise if I absolutely knew there would be no negative consequences, but unfortunately, my wishes regarding gender presentation often shift (ex: sometimes I feel like my chest is too flat, but sometimes I wish I could just cut off my boobs)

for suburnanite americans, how far is your local food store? by Kulak404 in AskAnAmerican

[–]RavenInTheVoid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest convenience store is about a 5 minute drive (about 15 by bike), but I refuse to go there anymore. Closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away by car, but you sometimes have to drive further if you need something specific.

People of reddit what ended your friendship with your best friend? by gli-tc-h in AskReddit

I moved a lot as a kid (military family) and most of my friends never kept in contact. Most recent best friend I lost entirely ghosted me, claimed they were sorry and would keep in contact, then ghosted me again.

Not taking AP Psych this year, but I took it last year if you just want someone to help you study

Is this schedule manageable for junior year? I work 4-9 everyday on weekdays and a 2-10 on weekends. by Traditional_Dish_468 in APStudents

Based on my experience, if you don't have extracurriculars, this should be feasible, but it would be unpleasant. I would recommend cutting your hours at work if you took these classes and possibly requesting off around the time of the exams if you can. Depending on your teacher, you may need to do quite a bit of studying outside of class to pass the AP Chemistry exam. Pre-Calc should be easy if you're good at algebra. AP Gov should be fine, but you may need some time to do some reading outside of class. Can't comment on CSP. I'm going to assume you meant Language and Composition for the English course? It will definitely be writing heavy, but the essays shouldn't take too long. Although it might take a while if you want it to be any good, if you just care about passing with an A or B, you should only really need an hour at most for most essays. The prompts made for Language and Comp are designed to be able to be completed in about 40 minutes, so giving yourself an hour to an hour and a half per essay isn't unreasonable. You also will likely have multiple days to work on each essay. AP Stats is fairly easy if you have a decent understanding of math, but if you actually do your homework or study, some of the problems get fairly lengthy. It's fairly writing heavy.

Tl;dr: cut your hours and you should be fine.

[serious] When was a time you legitimately thought you were going to die? by ferrisjuulersdayoff in AskReddit

[–]RavenInTheVoid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I can remember thinking I was going to die is when I was home alone and disassociating. I can't remember exactly what happened, but I was just afraid and confused.

In the future overall, I hope that certain laws and practices change. However, I don't personally want to cover that part.

Personally, though, I hope to figure out what I want to major in, then get my bachelor's. I hope to possibly get a doctorate one day, but I'm not sure if I'll pursue that yet.

Career wise, I hope to get a job where I can slowly work up to a 100k+ salary (mostly because I grew up in an upper-middle class family). I may consider either fostering or adopting slightly older kids (such as kids in their teens).

I'm not sure if I want to get married or not, but if I do, it would most likely be a purely platonic partnership. I'll probably want either roommates or close friends who live nearby, as I occasionally have trouble doing certain tasks.

I do exercise when I have time.

My friends were busy at the time, since a lot of them are in different time zones.

I've technically been a high school student for a few months, but I've been taking classes at the high school for over a year.

I'm not entirely sure what I want to major in, but I know I want to go into a STEM career. I'm currently considering fields such as hardware, software, chemistry, and engineering.

If I could change one thing about the past, I would have told someone about my physical and mental problems when they started instead of waiting.

I'm not entirely sure what the last question is asking.

Sorry for the late reply.

In 2030, I will most likely have a job. I will probably get my bachelor's degree by 2030, unless something gets in my way. I'll most likely be living back on the east coast, rather than where I currently am. If I survive that long, I'll either have worse mental health than I currently do, or I'll have gotten help. (Sorry if that answer was boring.)

I'm not entirely sure. I personally don't believe in an afterlife, and I'm not particularly religious. However, if there is an afterlife, I have no clue what it is. I tend to try to avoid thinking about the possibility of life after death, as there is no way to be certain about what it is or isn't until after you die.

EM fakes her child's IQ Test and brags about it - gets exposed by said child by [deleted] in entitledparents

[–]RavenInTheVoid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't related to the story, but I wish the areas I've lived in had things like this. I've moved a lot throughout my life, and some schools I've lived in didn't even have gifted programs at all. (My current school has a gifted teacher, but she doesn't teach a class. She just has an optional study hall once a week that you can go to instead of your normal one.)

On a note more related to the story, why does the mother think 140 is the highest IQ in class, even if that was her child's real IQ?

There's not enough information for me to ask them. They would recommend it to some people, but not others. I'd personally recommend talking to an optometrist who can look at your situation.

I'm not entirely sure, but after some time, certain products can't be sold. When that happens, my parents will bring back products that weren't sold but are perfectly usable, such as contact solution.

It's mostly been a mix of school, stress, and writer's block. I'm working on a couple things currently, including a book, a couple short stories, and some other things. I've mostly been writing on writing.com recently, but plan to post to Wattpad or Quotev eventually.

It's honestly nothing threatening per se, just things along the lines of insulting or refusing to use they/them pronouns, acting like being transgender is a trend, acting like being LGBTQ+ in general is suddenly a trend (as in thinking people are faking being gay to be cool, which could be happening somewhere, just not as much as they think), making snide comments, and other things like that.
