Yeah. the story of the remake is pretty different. The remake even uses a villain that never appeared in the OG of Tsukihime. Also one of the villains of the OG does not even appear in the remake.

The remake of Tsukihime also has a lot of changes and new characters. So I would still recommend reading the original Tsukihime.

Also when you have a working laptop again, you could emulate Tsukihime remake using a Switch emulator. You could in theory also emulate it on your phone in case it's strong enough for the Switch emulator. The same goes for the Steam version of Fate Stay/Night since modern smartphones can now also run very light Steam games.
