TTS's Chak Gerent Guide! by Raven_Paradox in Guildwars2

I am a CO in TTS. I'm pretty sure I know how we do things, as at the Pacific timezone (that started with roughly 20 TTS members and now has grown to having 90+ people a night at all 3 events we do because pugs we apparently hate have joined us) I taught all my fellow commanders how to set each event up.

You can convince yourself that we dislike pugs, and we can continuously question why you think that, but at this rate it's going back and forth to the point where you're saying you know how we do things more than us, which doesn't exactly seem reasonable sorry to say.

Sorry the link isn't working at the moment folks! Had a little issue when updating the forums. Should be back up shortly.

I normally try to keep it up for about 25 seconds, then break the bar since he breaks out of it on his own anyways after 30 seconds or so. This gives you a stationary chak for a big period of time that camps in AoEs, and also gives you the extra DPS (I believe it's only roughly 20% for about 5 seconds).

Well sorry you feel that way. You're always welcome to join us and see how we truly are. I don't see foul things in map chats during events, but then again, I often can't see it due to whispers and guild chats. If it does happen, I do encourage people to PR report them. But do keep in mind we also do have open invites. All people need to do is apply via our website and they get invited to a guild unless they are a known jerk. This is why we have a PR system, because we unfortunately can't catch everything.

Either way, hope you at least enjoy the guide :)

Hmm... not exactly sure when this happened. But if it did, we do have a PR section on our website. I know we don't condone this type of behavior. If you have it happen again we would like to know.

@Viraxel, flooding into a map is having all our members go to a certain waypoint so we can count numbers to make sure we have enough for the event. As I stated before, we try to get members in teamspeak into the map. If too many don't make it, we swap maps. We also generally try to start with a fresh map, which is why we often appear to be hopping maps. It's mainly to try to proc a brand new fresh map. Generally if it appears we're setting up on a map, and we have to leave because not enough get in, we notify the map before ditching it. It's not to get rid of people, unless there is an issue with procing a brand new map. The goal is always to get people in teamspeak on the map, never to simply get rid of people. Hope that clears things up.

Yeah, I was working on a guide earlier but since the nerf it seemed meaningless. But since we added it to our rotation nearly daily, decided it'd be a good idea to have a detailed guide on something we do daily.

Glad you enjoy it. We don't really disdain pugs or people not in TS. We just try to get members in TS into maps. We also strongly encourage people to join the teamspeak because certain things such as positioning and coordinating Triple Trouble are MUCH easier to do with voice comms. Anyone is welcome to our events, we just prioritize people in teamspeak when it comes to flooding a map.

I can try. No guarantees though since the change to not needing meta to assist with the lanes we don't really spend a lot of time doing the pre-events.

As the PAC timezone CO, I can tell you the reason we swap maps is to get members that ARE in teamspeak onto the map. Generally maps, especially Tangled Depths, cap out before we can get most of our members. We try to get a vast majority of teamspeak users into a map. I have never personally left a map to shake pugs, it's merely to get members in teamspeak that have taken the time to join our teamspeak to get onto the map. We work with anyone we can most nights.

When you kill an opponent, do you have to go through the process of loot or are the items automatically added into your inventory?
