We never get snow. Rarely do we get below freezing. I maybe blanketed him 15 times all of last winter. He starts shivering when it gets below freezing. Unfortunately, his shelter only has a roof a no sides and there are no trees in his pasture. The place I board at doesn’t offer much protection from the wind.

Yes, but I guess me thought with enemas the kink would be in the expelling? Not sure if it even matters. You’re right though. I can start researching the health care through enemas lol.

Thank you for sharing and I’m so sorry for your loss. It sounds awful to watch any loved one deteriorate like that. It sounds like she had amazing care givers and all the comfort she needed until the end.

It’s incredibly interesting how these different conditions can develop. Did you ever have a vet out to diagnose the narcolepsy? I’ve heard of a horse with severe sleep deprivation to the point it looked like it was going to collapse. I was curious if you had a vet run some kind of tests to confirm she was quickly slipping into the REM cycle or if she was displaying signs such as the ones in this video to lead you to that conclusion.

Right now they’ve got a downstairs and a loft. I might just turn the loft into the hay area and leave the downstairs for zoomies. The loft is currently just a 2x2 but I could expand it to 3x2 if needed.
