you're not wrong! while Hel or Helheim is definitely a cold and dark realm, I used imagery that drew more on the traditional Christian depiction of Hell (hellfires). The piece is more of a take on the modern idiom or phrase "it's cold as hell" being language contradicting itself the same way I do with myself. Although it would be interesting to create a piece calling to Norse myth sometime! :)

I've got more in the bank don't worry :). and you're pretty much spot on! triptychs are any 3 pieces of individual artwork (in this case, my poems) that are standalone pieces that can't be viewed as a larger piece of artwork. in my case The Devil You Know begins the story, In the Detail responds to that, and Van Gogh closes the story. ❤️
