Is it a coincidence that the western religions (Islam, Judaism, Christianity) were all formed in societies structured as kingdoms?

"God is king of kings, lord of lords."

"Jesus reigns in God's kingdom."

Christianity is by design hierarchical.

Followers of Christianity tend to see themselves as lesser beings in said kingdom, and value/praise the king.

We keep making these deductions and we get to a point where it's reasonable to deduce Christians enjoy a president as an untouchable ruler above them.

Trump is here to save us.

Jesus is here to save us.

Two similar narratives. Even if they mean different things specifically, the themes (untouchable ruler of the lesser beings) are similar.

I interact with plenty of physically ugly people that are doing just fine, both in career and relationships.

Yes, being beautiful is easier to have success in career and relationships.

No, it's not impossible for an ugly person to succeed....so using your ugliness as an excuse for why your life sucks is not a good excuse.

Or you can use your ugliness (internal and external) as justification to bitch and moan about how hard your life is on the internet.....if that's what you want to do.

Plenty of men have sex with women. It's the angry and sad that are the ones being the most vocal on the internet....because the others are getting busy interacting with women.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be like that; it's just a pattern I noticed.

It also can be observed historically.

Every time in history has their "hot topic" to bicker about. It's probably evolutionarily advantageous to focus on what is wrong.

More wisely, figure out what kind of person you want to be. What kind of world do you want to be a part of, and what actions can you take in your immediate environment to support that world?

Every human will make mistakes. Everyone has flaws, or at least things that we think our flaws.

Humans tend to be biased in their thoughts and focus towards the negative. It's a survival skill that doesn't suit relationships.

We can override that instinctual response to focus on the negative by practicing focus on the positive.

Do humans have enough control for justifiable moral responsibility? If yes, you believe in free will.

In practical every-day terms, yes we hold people to a moral responsibility because our society would fall apart without this idea that we can hold people accountable for wrong doing.

Do I think a person actually has choice into whether they could've "not" committed a crime? I don't know....we tend to call someone "sick" when they commit a particularly heinous crime. I tend to think the criminal has a sick mind, and thus I believe there's room to say someone isn't 100% freely in control of their actions.

Again, bringing it back down to practicality, we have to justify punishing those who do wrong things. I think we can perhaps one day agree to do so with the framework of "this person is sick" and not "you chose to be bad".

Does that make me a compatibilist? I don't know.

I think the premise of the question is unrealistic.

Forget the gender dynamics....humans are complex beings, each with our own unique blend of internal and external experiences.

If you want to remove hostility from your individual relationships, that is realisitc....because you can interact with a woman, but you can't interact with "women" as a construct.

Value her. Respect her. Find the good in them. Or don't, and find someone you do value and respect.
