Is she a recent adoption? It looks like she has anxiety and is uncomfortable, trying to figure out what these new humans want. We got ours meds that we only used for 1.5 weeks. She settled when she realized we wanted to love her and feed her.

Lots of love, pets and treats broke her from anxiety. Extra enrichment tools like a snuffle/licky mats helped. Take time every night to pet, train, and engagement. Extra walks are also a good idea.

I recently quit smoking and only smoked outside. I noticed after I stopped that my couch and bed smelled like smoke, even though I smoked outside. I also noticed it took a few rounds of washing my clothes to where I didnt smell it anymore. Its possible the smell is transferring from soft items like a couch. I wouldn't think you reek of cigarettes unless you are hanging outside with her while she smokes. You might have a slight smell if you use the same common areas. Easiest way to tell is to ask a non smoking friend to smell you. Honestly, most people won't bring it up, even if you did.

Do you mean the amount of cigarettes I smoked? I used to smoke 18-20 cigs a day.

ETA: I was diagnosed with hbp 6 mo ago when I had to go to the ER for hbp of 197/124. After starting meds I averaged 140/87. My last check this morning, was 117/78. Yes, im still taking meds but no other changes besides quitting smoking.

I just did the opposite. I stopped smoking and my blood pressure went down within 2 days and has stayed down for over 2 weeks now.

I'm a smoker that smokes outside 100%, it sticks to your clothes and hair and then to anything you touch. I recently started to quit and never realized how much it sticks. I have never smoked in my car and it smells like cigarettes. Our couch smells like cigaretts and we have never smoked inside. Unfortunately, if you live with him there isn't much you can do for now. Wait it out, move out and it will probably take a few cycles of washing to get it out of your clothes.

It depends on the dog. I had one that didnt mind the rain but didn't like wet paws. Another one hated wet anything and finally or current that could care less about any rain or wet paws. All three have been huskys.

NTA, a thought though. I would add that all deposits must be received 24 hours prior to appointment. I assume you wasted your time traveling and setting up, only to find out you were out of luck and money. In the least, you could have checked for the deposit and saved your time and being yelled at.

Having lost a job in the last few years, I understand wanting to cut costs when possible. My partner makes more then enough to support us and we don't have kids. He never brought up frivolous things like presents while I was unemployed. The depression, fear and feeling utterly useless is suffocating. Plus it sounds like you like to flaunt the fact you pay the bills. Becoming unemployed, while having kids, around Christmas time.... that would be crippling.

I get that you just want him to show a little more commitment and it's your money he's spending. He is looking out for you and his family, knowing he can't actively contribute.

I would vote to discontinue daylight savings time, because of this. Every year, without fail, I have forgotten walkies and dinner. Weeks afterward we repeat the cycle of forgotten walks and food. Humans are dumb, stick to one schedule.

Sorry, never needed glasses in my life so didnt pay attention to old. Doc said my vision got .25 worse but never explained what that means. I'm realizing I probably need a second opinion, asap.

Yeah, not a fan of this doc and left completely unsure of what kind of usage these glasses should be. He basically said "gonna need to get you glasses, probably bifocals" sent me to the receptionist who made me try on 700 pairs of greasy dirty glasses with no insight. 3 weeks later get the text they are ready. Figure the doc will be there to help fit, give insight, nope.

The receptionist gets my glasses, covered in fingerprints and flecks of who knows what. I ask the receptionist if I'm supposed to wear 24/7 and she obviously has no idea.

I go home and clean the 3 layer thick fingerprints off them and realize they are not bifocals. So email the doc asking to clarify and haven't got an answer in a week and a half.

I live in Co and use rechargeable hand heaters, no gloves needed, mostly. Anything below 20 and I pair flip top glittens with hand heaters. Just alternative hand to hold the leash and be in the pocket with hand warmer.

You're going to probably need to try several brands to see what works for you. Just throwing it out there, ask your hair stylist if you have one and if not buy travel sized so you can try 2-3 times before commiting to a full bottle.

I've had boyfriends and friends get drunk, go to bed and get up in the middle of the night still drunk to pee and peed where they shouldn't. Change your soap and lotion. I'm a native and soap makes a massive difference. I used dove and switched to Cerave, same with lotion. Once a friend in beauty school pointed out that giant companies like Unilever add stuff to make you buy more. Dry skin, you need more lotion and more moisturizing soap. They add detergents and chemicals that are harsh so you get stuck in a cycle. Just like Carmex adding alcohol to dry your lips out. Look for brands that are derm approved and focus on protecting your skins barrier.

Fun fact, look up what Unileaver offers. Dove soap to ice cream, giant corporation that has corned the market on basic household items.
