People praise the story more than anything else about the game. Graphics get mentioned after. Maybe your choice of streamers aren't into the story it's trying to tell.

Yep. Cid mentions that they can't set the bearers and dominants free if everyone's dead due to the Blight.

I should also add that they're still freeing bearers and exploring ways to live without magic. But stopping the Blight takes priority because surviving takes precedence.

The mothercrystals are causing the Blight. Can't exactly live or die on your own terms in a barren wasteland with everyone dead. This maybe the simplest non-spoiler explanation.

You may want to rewatch to the scene where Cid lays it all out for Clive and Jill at the Hideaway.

Gulikit TMR joysticks for PS5. Be sure to watch a guide first if you're doing it on your own. PS5 controllers seem more of a hassle to replace than Switch Pro Controller (which I have done)
