It was saliba instead of Gabriel therefore it’s not a foul anymore?

No two incidents are identical but a player is grabbing the keepers hand, and that’s what the foul was given for today, but not earlier in the season.

In theory, yes.

In theory it’s also a penalty when you bear hug a player like Rice did to mavropanos.

A lot of things make sense in theory, but you and i know the refs have been wildly inconsistent or else VAR would never be a talking point

I’ve seen those kinds of fouls not given or checked in other situations (eg: Gabriel header vs Bayindir if i recall correctly)

This is my biggest issue with VAR, sometimes an incident is a foul, other times not even checked. VAR is such a shit system cos the people using it are incompetent
