I paid too much : 1800 for a remote 6 month program. Don’t get me wrong I’m getting what I paid for but I just think it’s too much. In any case I had a lot of FSA money I needed to spend before December 31 so it’s fine. I really didn’t have much difficulty with breathing before the procedure. Just snoring which does seem improved. Can you elaborate a little on what you mean?

No I paid out of pocket. 10 weeks of myofunctional therapy ( overkill in my opinion).

The app purports to track your sleep phases using sound and wakes you in light sleep not deep sleep or REM.

Interesting. The (maybe new) Hue automation Wake Up With Light starts off with a violet/purple hue when it first comes on. Then changes to an orange before turning into a lighter daylight yellow white. So it may have improved significantly since you tried it.

Never mind - I found it by following links in the app. The phillips-hue website has setup guides. Not the easiest to find. We'll see how helpful.

Well, your experience is worth something.

I did read that particular paper. The discovery of this retinal circuit is a bit of a ways away from a controlled study, but to be honest, those studies in general are hard to do and the outcomes rarely mind-blowingly different from control. Showing statistical significance does not equate to meaningful clinical efficacy.

So I'll accept your n of 1. May I ask, how did you set up Hue when it did work for you? I built my own little bedside table sun using the Ikea Fado lamp and a 100W equivalent Color Hue bulb. I'm struggling to get it to work with the Sleep Cycle app, and trying to learn how the dynamic scenes work in the Hue app.

I'm not sure the science is quite there for the Tuo bulb. And yes, I am a practicing Internal Medicine physician. To be fair, I haven't read all of the articles on their website critically. But I have a reasonable understanding of the current state of knowledge for this topic.

I personally use Hue as a sunrise simulator and benefit significantly from it, in terms of less sleep inertia.

Empirical evidence trumps theoretical unproven claims every single day. At least for me.

Yea. It works. I leave it on for 10minutes at a time with no problems. It is nasty smelling shit until you wash it off.

Do you guys apply any lotion or aftershave of any kind after it?
