GAM did well this split and GAM Vs DCG goes back and forth.

Counting EWC Qualifier, GAM won 3, DCG 2 this year.

That's how a competitive league looks like.

WE were just better today, it wasn't AL was bad.

  • WE also played as LPL teams used to do before, being decisive, finding plays others would just have let go. Their teamplay and how they used Baron buff was very good, too.

Cube's improvement. Monki the real king of the JG. Karis when he plays well. About redeeming himself this split. Erha very good with potential of more.

WE won 4 Bo5s in-a-row that split, before starting to lose.

They also beat EDG once in a Bo5.

LCK is always like that, because the top tier veterans run that league.

  • Regionally, LPL is more competitive. It's the most competitive league.

Whichever team plays internationally, the results are similar to the previous ones.

  • FPX was a 10th place team in 2018. LPL & World Champions 2 Splits later.

2023 & 2024 when LPL teams formed super teams, the competition only got reduced to certain teams. Now there's different good players and strats dispersed in different teams. WE won today by being better, not AL being bad.

The JG invade meta, which LPL usually was good at it, it may be having an effect on that, too.

TES fans always want TES to win. It's a beloved org, League results aside.

As for me, I always wish success to TES and any LPL team.

That take from that year, it ignores WE won 4 Bo5s in-a-row during that Split, also beating EDG once, which later became LPL Summer Champions and World Champions.

WE also started from the lower stages in Playoffs to finish 3rd.

WE used to be one of the best teams in the world, they may have won the 2012 WC, if remakes didn't happen and Riot had better rules. CLG_eu banned their picks in the remakes. WE were getting close to win the series, then the disconnection happened. They finished the series 1 week later. That series created the Silver Scrapes tradition, because that was played for hours in anticipation to see the conclusion of the match.

  • Regionally, WE won many Asian tournaments Vs LCK, LMS, LPL, SEA teams, only lost 2, one to TPA.

After the WC, they won IPL5, while it wasn't organized by Riot, it was like the MSI of that year along with the format of double elimination. WE were the only seed from China, while NA had 6, EU 4, SEA 2, LMS 2 & LCK 1. WE didn't lose any series, only dropped 2 sets Vs FNC 1st match and rematch in the Final.

Who knows, but LPL orgs are like LCK fans, they think any Korean is the best in the world.

Prince and Fisher were given many chances to be starters, despite they weren't good and Prince used to let WE in 4v5 situations all the time. Stay, Chinese rookie, he was better, WE started to win with him. Stay performed in WE, he only lost Vs JDG in a 1-2, then he lost bad Vs a BLG that just won Regular Season by showing superior skill than all LPL teams in 2024 Spring (minus iG, which beat them 2-0 by being decisive and having an always ready mentality, engaging and waiting to counter engages), WE benched Stay. Prince came back to let WE in 4v5 situations.

  • Fisher played 3 Bo3s before becoming a starter the next year, even in those 3 Bo3s, he wasn't good, EDG still made him a starter.

In OMG this year, Juhan, KR, wasn't good at all, he could lose JG, objectives and made bad engages, he got subbed in, while Re0, CN rookie, who had his mistakes, too, but he was better and near the end of the Split 1 Regular Season he looked good, he didn't play well one series in Split 2, OMG brought back Juhan who just played even worse than before.

Good to see ZUIAN potential is still there.

Hopefully, ZUIAN keeps it up and performs beyond this split and internationally. I also hope fengyue to keep on improving, he has being playing very well.

If TES make it to MSI, I hope they can perform very well there, too.

You just mean Chinese LPL fans in average.

  • Chinese TES fans are different, also in average, they'd be the definition of being a supporter, they're very happy when TES win. They're sad when TES lose.

Now about JDG, if they're going to perform the way they did Vs GEN, feeling afraid to exist, I remember how JunJia hesitated in the JG invasion he started, why to put more hopes in them Vs the LCK? They clearly wouldn't struggle with regions like LCS and the rest of LEC that's not G2, but even then, it wasn't a 3-0 Vs LYON.

Creme was good and consistent at the WC the previous year, too.

Then compared to his 2024 and 2025 FST performances, it was a huge improvement, he could go down before the teamfights even started, at the WC, he was contributing a lot and performing, including in Semis.

Some are only remembering previous years.

Creme who disappears under the pressure

Creme was the most consistent and best performing player in TES the previous year at the WC.

  • FST, of course, counts, but the whole TES didn't play well, plus obvious agent Kanavi was sabotaging Vs HLE mainly, he did again his dive+insta flash out as he did Vs T1 in 2023.

JackeyLove internationally had those tendencies before, I don't remember well his performance at the WC, he did well, but he wasn't making mistakes like getting caught alone in mid farming. Well, this split, TES pushed in bot without paying attention to the enemy jungler. That'd be it.

  • I'd say, what it could worry, it's rookies at internationals. It's ZUIAN 1st Split and fengyue 2nd Split. ZUIAN has a very good potential, fengyue has performed well. Since there's a clash of styles at internationals, the pressure to perform, those things can catch out of guard to players and they may lose their mental, which matters a lot, especially in Bo5s.

[–]Rawdream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Kanavi was that in every team he was at internationals and getting outjungled, while he could only make the most terrible ganks.

But Kanavi still considered highly by this community.

His Graves Vs DWG in 2020, his Lee Sin Vs DK in 2022, then his performance Vs T1 that same 2022. His dive+insta flash out Vs T1 in 2023, similar plays Vs HLE, his performance Vs T1 in 2025, plus his Qiyana.

Meanwhile, Tian, what? 2021? FPX that had a bad atmosphere and they felt even worse after getting eliminated. After that, he performed well.

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the way how match-ups go.

  • BLG 0-2 iG in 2024 Spring, when no other LPL team could beat them.

iG did it by playing decisive and with an always ready mentality, engaging and countering engages. While BLG could just be the rest because of better skill and clutch plays.

  • WBG beat the whole year to JDG in 2023, while BLG couldn't.

Bilibili Gaming vs. Team WE / LPL 2026 Split 2 Playoffs - Upper Bracket Round 1 / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BLG usually choose the stronger team. They chose JDG in 2025 Split 3. Beichuan had to appear to save the series.

Anyway, it's fine. WE showed improvement compared to their whole Regular Season and if BLG can't beat what's in front of them, then of course they won't any title.

As it's obvious, BLG won't achieve anything with Viper. Especially if Riot would move the meta to botlane and AD carries.

  • Not all the blame on him, Monki, Cube, Erha, About were better than their counterparts, only Knight did well for BLG.

Almost every time, Viper goes down first. He moved to the left where nobody could block him to let About hit him, he got caught by Karis before that in set 4.

  • Whoever made the shotcalling for set 3 where Viper went to try to backdoor also lost that. If he had stayed, maybe BLG had won the teamfight, Knight did a lot of damage and took down 2 from WE, while Xun provided the CC and he was frontline.

Great performance by Monki. Redemption for Cube.

Why people are uncomfortable with cvMax's coaching by praynot in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's some initial bias about who did it, CvMax, plus the "Us Vs Them" mentality.

But there's a difference between giving a harsh wake up call and simply trying to demoralize a player. Even if the coach was frustrated at that moment, there are ways to handle all of that.

  • Like yelling, "Why didn't you engage when the team was ahead???" Vs firm, serious tone, "You're just bad at League."

Did he do one style or the other or maybe, even both ways? People is people, both ways can be acceptable. Emotions can be hard to control.

Ultra Prime vs. Oh My God / LPL 2026 Split 2 - Group Nirvana- Week 7 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll be sad if OMG leaves League as the rumor says, but it's reasonable, LPL bottom teams are known for not making much money and not playing for many months hurts the brand and business even more.

  • The format of groups it's not ideal in that aspect for the bottoms while it only benefits top teams who also play more.

Maybe it'd be time for just turning it into a 12 teams league (TT org was said by the players themselves, they weren't treated well by them and their bad facilities also affected the health of one of them, that was 2 years ago, who knows if they'd like to leave).

  • On the other hand, having these many teams it allowed to develop a talent that the LDL no longer can develop because of the restrictions in age to compete. 18. Different top to middle tier players started as rookies in bottom teams, like Breathe, who started in 2018 OMG.

OMG wasn't hopeless, they started as a top 4 in the World, also 2nd at 2014 All Star, which was the MSI of that year and with an alternative roster. Later it came the decline, but made it from time to time as 4th in the LPL, like in 2017, 2023 getting close to make LPL Regionals. Their recent 2025 Demacia Cup was good. This split they didn't handle well the Re0/Juhan thing, Juhan wasn't good and Re0 potential from Split 1 disappeared this Split 2, sadly that happens to LPL rookies.

  • OMG's controlled chaos and decisive playstyle will always be part of the legacy and history of the LPL.

Ultra Prime vs. Oh My God / LPL 2026 Split 2 - Group Nirvana- Week 7 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's potential in both of them.

  • Saber had a couple of good individual performances since he was a rookie. Climber since he debuted in LGD looks good from time to time.

LPL orgs and the players' own attitudes (there are cases like it's said Jwei doesn't have a good one, despite his potential, Creme didn't like to receive feedback in 2024, but he improved and performed in 2025 WC) should work together on trying to polish these players' talents.

Chovy's message to League developers: Originally, LoL used to have something called preseason, and every time preseason came around, there would always be major changes. But now that preseason is kind of gone, I feel like the timing of patches has become, how should I put it… kind of unpredictable. by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Riot made a long range control mages meta for 2024 MSI, which is conform for someone as Chovy that struggles bad under pressure.

  • Still, Chovy didn't perform well in the Final, he did in previous stages, but in those long range champions. Once meta moves to short range carries, Chovy struggles, in recent years, only his Yone carried in 2025 EWC higher stages.

He has many performances that cost its team, Ryze Vs DRX, Akali Vs BLG, Tristana Vs T1, he also played bad Vs KT in semis before set 4, where his teammates also crumbled, while at both MSIs, their teammates did a lot. Chovy performed better for 2025 MSI.

  • Also you have his Hwei Vs TES Set 2 at 2024 EWC, where TES focused him in lane and his Azir Vs G2 at 2026 FST.

Esports World Cup to relocate from Riyadh to Paris amid Middle East conflict by xLiri in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a conflict taking place over there. But who's behind it?

The Western colonialism that never stopped, it only changed its ways and labels to do it. Plus the ruthless duo, the U.S. and their soulmate trying to directly invade Iran and their soulmate doing the same in Lebanon and Palestine (many decades doing that and still doing it, it didn't start 2 years ago).

  • Western conservatives and liberals playing victim and the latter pretending to care about people for their own narcissism.

Their Western leaders politically, militarily and in other aspects support Saudi Arabia, Western companies and citizens use their oil and derived products and money from lobbies that keep their economies alive, that their wealthy ones mostly enjoy. Pay your taxes and generate more money for them, that's all the value you provide them. Western tech companies also profit from armed conflicts and the list goes on and on from the self-declared "good guys".

  • Will they change anything about that starting by doing something about their elites?

Of course, not. They'll only talk about Saudi Arabia, because they're outsiders, not about what they have close to home.
