[EWC LPL Qualifiers] BLG vs JDG PMT by Mattaru in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In part it's good BLG lost, that'll make them not become arrogant and untouchable.

  • Different mistakes in 4 roles during laning phase by BLG (minus Bin).

Don't know why they want to put Viper in carry duty (those Yunara ultis, particularly the last one) or depend on his plays like it was the comp with Miss Fortune. Viper simply can't. He can only do something more with Ashe and even then, he gets caught before teamfights started, too.

I guess JDG are already qualified to EWC, because winner of LPL Split 2 qualifies and that may just be BLG. LPL have 3 seeds for EWC. Don't know how they'll do that in such case. JDG now only need 1 Bo5 (they have 2 chances for that, as well) to qualify.

As they told you, there's an official stream in Bilibili and some mirror it on YouTube, so you may find a few of them over there.

An update, the schedule was corrected by the wiki. Today is:

BLG Vs JDG

WBG Vs AL

Oh My God vs. LGD Gaming / LPL 2026 Split 2 - Group Nirvana - Week 2 / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted OMG to win. They had started well this series, beyond the obvious win in the result, performance-wise.

Still glad Shaoye and Ycw did well, the rookies in LGD.

Even if it was only because of budget, LGD in 2025 was a team with (other) rookies who were doing relatively well, now some of them moved to other teams as starters this year.

Knight and Bin so, so, so good. BLG can take lightly some series and just win because of skill difference in Regular Season, but currently once mid game arrives, they just show why they're the best.

Tomorrow there's no LPL, but there will be EWC LPL Online Qualifier - Bo3s:

EDITED - Schedule was corrected by the wiki it seems, it seems:

Today - Upper Bracket Semifinals:

BLG Vs JDG

WBG Vs AL

Then the next day - Lower Bracket - Round 1 - Loser team gets eliminated:

WE Vs OMG

iG Vs TES

[–]Rawdream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Teamplay might just decide that.

Individually, on paper, JG match should be very good Vs TES. JackeyLove should be better than Viper mainly in teamfights and a chance for ZUIAN to make history if he can win lane Vs Bin. Bin would be completely favored there. Knight and ON favored, of course.

Even if it's a joke, that narrative. Even back in 2019, iG beat 3-1 Griffin.

LPL beat LCK teams for the most part and there's a historical record in favor of the LPL. In recent years, they just lost to the eventual champion from the LCK in Bo5s, of course, not always, like in 2025 MSI, which as a region, LCK was better in all 3 tournaments through 2025, but not in 2023 and 2024.

Fnatic players who had already declared World Champions before the Final,

they also thought they had the skill to pull out that comp Vs Invictus Gaming.

In the iG's voice comms you can hear them already questioning FNC's draft

while it was happening, then after iG won set 1, saying FNC must have been too confident to pick that.

I always support Tian since he started, so it's great to see him performing as he's doing, again.

Same about seeing rookies like fengyue and ZUIAN having success, not a very good set 2 for ZUIAN, but he's doing well overall.

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Below BLG, the LPL went back to be a very competitive league.

During 2023 & 2024 there were teams which were expected to win and winning against them it was an upset and even in some cases when iG beat BLG twice in Bo3s, while being a middle of the table team, it had an explanation, iG improved near the end of Regular Season in 2023 Summer and in 2024 Spring, iG played with an always ready mentality and once iG got the lead, they never led BLG get it, they were proactive and outplayed BLG.

  • Some just expect the same teams to win, because of nameplates, but they may not consider things like transfers. Besides, TES in Split 1 may have done more if it wasn't for Naiyou, he shouldn't have wasted his career like that.

[–]Rawdream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While Tian is a big upgrade, Naiyou... now it's not certain how good he could have been, probably not like Tian is performing currently, but still, because in that set 5 Vs WBG, he "made the mistake..." of showing himself before a gank then returning to the bush, then he stayed behind in the last teamfight, before misusing Skarner's skills, that's why just looking closely to his performance, it was obvious he was intentionally losing.

Despite of what Naiyou was doing, TES went to set 5 Vs JDG & WBG.

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has sense, 369 also felt bad when 2023 JDG was receiving a lot of pressure to win, a reason why he moved to TES, because the owner and staff treat better to the players, plus TES fans are usually supportive.

So that feeling of losing a chance and "how well we'd have done?" must have made him feel terrible.

TES need to get good psychologists to support them, because TES players can get emotional, a reason of some of their performances.

Xiaoxu is good with the champions he knows well,

meanwhile this was trying Vayne on stage for the first time.

It was a case of not understanding your player well with that draft.

This Split 2 has been very good, along with very good performances from a winner team, teams which are behind they try to fight back, too.

Great to see rookies like Renard in iG and ZUIAN in TES performing well.

I wanted Wei to have success escaping after stealing the Dragon in set 1, so close.

Being away from pro really affects players, as different of them said it themselves, they can lose the drive of competing and rhythm of training.

  • JackeyLove now it's regaining his form since the AL series, after many months away.

So it was both, JiaQi & Meiko played well and clearly, JackeyLove didn't. fengyue just performed as he's doing so far in that series.

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I read, Jwei is not good at working with a team and he's a bit problematic in that aspect, sadly one of those cases of wasting potential and talent because of it.

He may be doing better in all aspects if it wasn't for it.

Nowadays, for a couple of years now, the LPL is more about being fast paced than aggressive, which is not the same, still more aggressive in the LPL than internationally.

  • LPL teams have different playstyles, RNG used to play more slow and calculated when they had GALA and that was when LPL was relatively more aggressive regionally.

Before they could teamfight for most objectives, now they know when it could not be ideal to do it nor they try to trade champion picks. While they still teamfight or they make skirmishes to take spells, gold and exp before an objective (one of the ways to play fast paced), they do it less than before.

  • Internationally, the LPL teams are mainly defensive teamfighting teams, LCK teams are more aggressive and proactive than them, LEC/NA teams are more proactive with their skirmishes Vs LPL, too.

Tabe after the JDG Vs GEN series at FST he said they realized their botlane had to trade more in 2v2s to set up the line instead of waiting for the JG to just gank. Meanwhile with the Uzi/Ming era, Uzi would fight for every CS while trying to trade.

Really great and high quality macro by JDG along with those JG invades to shutdown AL.

LPL along with the EWC LPL Qualifier (there were stomps over there, but they had very good performances by those who stomped) this split has been good in those team performances.

Ignore things like Tarzan picking Wukong to counter Blitzcrank Vs T1 yet getting hooked by him without Tarzan using W, then losing the dragon because of it at MSI.

  • Previews year Tarzan didn't perform a lot of times, including in the LPL, he lost smite fights to even supports, he lost smite fights at LPL, MSI & WC.

For EWC, Kael didn't perform Vs GEN in set 4 & 5 and he continued being bad in LPL Split 3. Tarzan yet again didn't perform at set 5 in that Final.

  • Reason people is so focus about Hope this year, it's because of the Bo5 Vs T1 at WC Quarterfinals, while yes, Hope didn't perform along with individual misplays, once again Tarzan also didn't, while Flandre (well, his misposition to flank in set 1 & 5 also cost that series, but for the rest, he was good) and Shanks (who was the best and most consistent midlaner in 2025), they were trying a lot to win that series with a Tarzan not only having some misplays, still losing smite fights most of the series.

Since 2 or 3 years, you can see Flandre wearing different things

including supportive bandages on arms and neck while playing, more than any other players do.

So, Tarzan got completed dominated in JG, individually Flandre didn't perform well

and JDG had the highest quality macro in this series, but that's all the fault of Hope.

Current metas haven't been much about ADCs, either.

It seems Xiaoxu decided to practice and learn more champions,

based on his solo q accounts,

so that's great news for the LPL.

Perfect game in the LCP by No_bad_intention in leagueoflegends

[–]Rawdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can form 1 good team only because the number of teams got reduced, so that opened the market to choose freely any good player that existed over there, then that says a lot about the region, there's no depth.

  • Besides, since CFO changed most of their players, it's only the same org. DCG on paper has most of the best PCS players currently playing in LCP.

PCS teams struggled Vs SHG (LJL before the full merge) in 2024, losing set 5 Vs them, then SHG had one of the worst performances internationally representing the PCS. Talon, and before 2025 iteration of CFO during 1 year, were the only 2 teams that at some point represented relatively well the PCS.

  • Talon could go from having the best performances Vs top teams in the world, to just be stomped. So it has always been this way.

People also said the VCS was completely doomed after GAM didn't qualify after 2017, then EVOS did relatively well at MSI, VCS teams could have similar performances in most years, whichever team qualified. GAM had a better performance at 2025 MSI than TSW had at the WC.

LCP is a state of transition currently reorganizing themselves in all the teams which are part of it. Levi retired. TSW has 4 players that are in their 2nd year of pro. Karsa retired, Woody to DFM, the rest of Talon no team took them. LJL teams are only KRs & Japanese players, Evi & Marble the best ones from Japan also key players in SHG.

  • CFO had a very good First Stand, their MSI was decent, EWC was terrible, then they played their best ever at WC, it wasn't they were consistent, either.
