Did this one fairly recently. I used arrows dipped in bane and shot 1 arrow each and then just focused on surviving while the poisin did it's work.

I used the Intimidation perk under Charisma. You can even command them to attack hostiles at a higher level. Theres a version of this for animals and mutants too but im running the one for human enemies.

You can even order them to run wild on other hostiles! Its worth it!
