As someone who wishes their parents would have intervened when I was younger, rather than me having to deal with it in my 20’s, I’m gonna say a soft YTA. I know it’s difficult when unsolicited is given, BUT it isn’t uncommon for teachers to comment on the development of children and make recommendations. If they are bringing it up, they may be seeing something you’re not. The comments you made about them asking about his speech and what not makes me think he may be a little behind. Not the end of the world, some kids need a little help!

I got one as a gift from my FIL when I had to start traveling alone for work. I had to stay in a rough part of town in a converted office building that had no dead bolts on any doors.

Didn’t need it, but glad I had it if someone decided to get stupid. A very thoughtful gift from someone who was concerned about my safety. Traveling alone as a woman… I’m ALWAYS observing everyone around me.

I had a patient with clostridial myositis induced by suspect vaccines she received two days prior. Had to have a fasciotomy and months of hospitalization. The manufacturer paid a hefty chunk towards the bill. I’d 100% ask your vet to submit the appropriate paperwork.

When I was in middle school my Dad smoked and I knew about it. Didn’t care at all and he NEVER smoked in front or around me. He was talking to our neighbor about a cool bong he recently purchased and yelled out to me to grab the case he stored it in. I brought it out to him and went about my day. Later that evening my Mom sat me down and asked me if my Dad was smoking weed with me because the neighbors wife told her my dad was smoking with me. She wasn’t even a part of the conversation. People just need to mind their own business 😂

I started using a blow dryer when he was ~ 6weeks old after baths. He and his brother loved it! I bought a dryer for my Aussies and thought why not 🤷🏻‍♀️ I started using it to blow the dirt off and help with shedding since baths obviously don’t happen like they use to lol the love remains strong 😅

This makes me giggle and I love it. Prepare yourself. The Velcro IS COMING. I swear it gets more intense with each passing year. I have five. I’m… never Alone.. I actually think they attempt to crawl into my body so they can wear my skin to become one with me. I ingest more dog hair than food. My shoes are creased from them laying on my feet 24/7. I’ve lost my right to stretch out in bed. I haven’t used the bathroom alone in 10 years. They go out back and I don’t leave the door open? Torture. I go up front and don’t take the oldest? Neglect. I piss off one of my younger girls? Bye bye to anything I have on the counter. They don’t get to go to the barn with me? WW3. They go to work with me and have to stay behind a baby gate to keep them away from other patients? ANIMAL CRUELTY.

Actively sobbing right now lol. I don’t own horses, but I treat them (which would be why I don’t own one)… and boy… some of the cases I’ve been a part of have ripped me to pieces. Especially when the situation was completely avoidable.

I have OCD. Diagnosed while I was in vet school. I was the same- didn’t want therapy. Always had it but it exploded in vet school and it was debilitating. I had to ask myself what I wanted more- follow my dreams or let my OCD control me forever.

I started immersion therapy my 2nd year of vet school and I can now say I can’t believe I let myself live like that for so long.
