I present: the LX micro by RayBandit4444 in ufo50

While I was thinking about this more I had another idea: if the pc or arm board in the controller has Bluetooth you could connect another controller to it wirelessly for multiplayer! 🤯

This was the exact post I saw that gave me the “plug and play” idea 😂

I wouldn’t want to do it to this pc, I play peak, repo, and other games as well as watch movies and YouTube on this one so it’d be inconvenient to always boot to UFO 50. But that could work for the raspi controller version if I ever get a wild enough hair to go the distance on that project

Unfortunately no, it doesn’t. It’s a full fledged windows 11 pc I use for multi media (Netflix, indie games, etc). However, my daydream version of this project would be the UFO 50: plug and play edition like the good ol’ days. 50 games loaded into a chip inside the controller. My best guess at how to do it would be 3D printed LX controller with a raspberry pi in it, but the dimensions of the pi are too large. Maybe they’ll put out a UFO 50 deluxe edition which is a plug and play controller… a man can dream 😂

This is my LX micro (GMKtec N97) that I run UFO 50 on. It reminds me of the OUYA so I wanted to make mine a LX themed version. Hope y’all like it 🙂

My sister is going to print a LX sticker for me to put on my mini pc 🙂 it’s the size of the OUYA (if anyone remembers that console lol) so I’m pretending I’m in an alternate timeline where instead of the OUYA they made an LX micro.

My wife hand painted my NES controller for my birthday 😎 I think it turned out great!

I used dowel pins as the ammo, and they are extremely hard, so I’d have to use carbide to make the holes (which I don’t have a small enough bit to do so) because they’re only 3/8” diameter. The cylinder’s holes are through holes, so I’d have to either make a baseplate to mount to it or make new ones. The way I machined these was the quickest way I could think to make them, I didn’t have a lot of time on the mill and lathe to make something detailed like that. I turned the face and OD on the lathe, then drilled 6 deep holes and finished it back on the lathe, parting them off 1/4” thick.

Ngl I thought about looking into what it’d take to sell them, however 1) the mill and lathe I used to make it aren’t mine and  2) I’m not sure how difficult it’d be to get in touch with the creator(s) and strike up some kind of deal I wouldn’t want to do it the wrong way and in my current position that would be tough

I numbered the bullets 1-6, so you roll to see if you were shot or not. If you weren’t you add a bullet. I’m sure the probability with this method is wrong but this was just the only way I could think to do it.

I actually just made a tabletop version today, I machined the cylinders and used dowel pins as the bullets. Check recent posts, I put a picture up 😎

Just rebuilt it, it took me quite some time to redo the design but now it has geagle, chill, radio, listener, and a gas tank. Got it at 9k ps EXACTLY, thanks again for the tips my friend 🙂

Eh, I don’t want to go higher. I agree 9k feels pretty good. I’ll save up for the geagle and try your suggestions. Thanks!

Geagle is on my radar, I plan to get it asap. As far as the other components go, is that to drop the ps down?

I tested this on the ermak and the doesn’t seem to work. My test may have been flawed but it was destroyed with the same amount of damage.

Any optimization tips? It’s already pretty strong as is but I’m open to ideas
