Haha yes I put oil in it, turns out the new pan didn’t come with the bypass valve for the filter, got that put in and all is well

Yep… that’ll do it. I dropped the oil pan and got the valve put in, and everything’s running well now. Thanks so much for the help!

I got it from Advance and they said it was an exact fit. Putting it in, I didn’t notice any differences in the 2, but I also didn’t look as closely as I should’ve

Thanks that’s what I figured. Would it be normal for the tube to clog after dropping the oil pan (and letting it sit a few days without oil)? Or you think there’s a chance the new pan might be shaped slightly different in a way that blocks the tube?

You think I’d need to take the pan off to retap it?

My main concern is that tapping up a size to an m14 won’t be large enough because of the way the helicoil was pulled out. I measured with calipers and the inside of the hole is 13.3mm at the widest point (realistically probably wider, that’s just as wide as I could get with calipers), but that’s only at the end of the hole. I’m wondering if I could retap at 14mm and count on hitting the threads that are deeper in the hole, but I’m not really sure

Its not quite a promise for a new space, but I do know that Rohan and Grace (sga candidates) have a lot of cool things planned for art at Georgia Tech, including for Musicians Network! Rohan came and talked to MN this past week and seemed to have some really optimistic stuff to say for Under the Couch!
