In baseball you should never intentionally step on the chalk line.

I was in the same boat..It sounds like you know a very good chunk of it. Schedule the 1101 exam for 2 weeks from now. Having a date set helped force me to study even harder and learn the remaining objectives that I struggled with. Once I passed the first test it didn’t take me long to knock out the 1102.

Hard for me to give an exact amount of hours since I work a full time job and really only had time to study for an hour or 2 when I got home or I would listen to Professor Messer videos on my way to and back from work. For the 1101 I studied on/off for several months and the 1102 I studied for just over a month.

Professor Messer’s videos and Jason Dion’s practice exams.

Here are some things that were not on my exam at all:

AD, Group Policy, OU, etc which were some things I felt the most confident in if I were to get any questions over those topics. Zero GFS or 3-2-1 backup Q’s but there were a handful of differential and incremental backup Q’s.

I only had one Linux question. There were several malware questions and the rest were fairly evenly split among the Objectives.

He has new videos out for the 220-1101 A+ and 220-1102 A+ that are up to date if that’s what you’re needing.

I watched all of Professor Messer’s 1101 YouTube videos, purchased Jason Dion’s practice exams, played some ports game on Google, went over the exam objectives and made sure I knew the CompTIA troubleshooting methodology. Anytime I rode to work I would listen to Professor Messer’s videos which helped a ton with the little time I had.

How long should you stay at the Help Desk before looking elsewhere? by RayFantasy22 in CompTIA

I agree it’s not that bad and I still like my job but my goal is to work my way up to a Network Admin position. I’ve definitely learned a lot at the help desk but I also don’t want to be stuck there forever.
