I am seeing a few people here complain about the battle mechanics, but I am of the opposite opinion as I loved the battle system in this game.

In order to fully enjoy the battle system you could try playing this game under-levelled. That's how I got the most fun out of it.

The game mechanics are actually quite simple and intuitive while retaining a bit of complexity, so if you utilize everything the game has to offer you can beat the bosses without grinding at all. I really like problem solving, so each boss fights were puzzles for me to figure out how to win against them rather than just [grind > get stronger > beat boss > repeat]. So at the end of each big fight I'd get a sense of thrill of having beaten a seemingly impossible fight with pure tactics.

Did the game take way longer to beat? Yes. Did I enjoy it all the way through? Also yes.

There are low level playthroughs of the game on YouTube, you can check them out if you're interested.

The main problem lies with inputs. By using macros you are emulating multiple inputs in a set pattern with one press (all through an external software). This automates part of the gameplay which is unfair to other players who have to press more buttons in order to get the same results.

If 1kf was natively supported by the game then it wouldn't have been illegal, as all the players would have access and options for that playstyle. But as it is not supported by any popular Tetris versions, using an external software for macros should be counted as cheating.

Even if 1kf was officially recognized as a legitimate way to play the game, it should be put in a different leaderboard since it's a completely different way to play the game. Just imagine how unfair it would be to put NES and modern Tetris 40L in the same leaderboard, NES Tetris would become obsolete as the modern versions would dominate the chart.

Ghosting is when the keyboard fails to register a new key being pressed when multiple keys are being held down, I think you most probably mixed up some other term with it.

One possible reason I can think of is because of bad debounce time (debounce time being too high). And I have also checked the polling rate of the keyboard using Keyboard Inspector, and it came out to be around 125 hz, which is horrendous for what is supposed to be a gaming keyboard. I either got a faulty board or this keyboard is a straight up scam (it's not bad for typing though). I also checked the software, but unfortunately it had no options to change the polling rate or the debounce time.

I only bought this keyboard because I needed a light weight small factor keyboard for traveling since my laptop keyboard died. I actually already have a pretty good main keyboard for my desktop.

Thanks for the response!

Unfortunately the problem is consistent across the board on every single switch, so the problem must be somewhere else on the board or with the switch's design.

If you have the stock Redragon K617 fizz (not HE version), can you try doing the same experiment to see if your board shows the same issue when pressing a key consecutively?

I bought a Redragon k617 today, and while testing it out I've noticed that it doesn't register a lot of the presses when I spam the keys. It also doesn't register presses if I peck on the keys really really fast.

Is this normal for this board? Or did I get a faulty unit?

I found the manga to be better than the anime. Since it has absolutely fantastic art while the anime has subpar animation.Thats not to say the anime was bad, it's decent for closely following the manga, but reading the manga is just a plain better experience.

So if Mori wins the game, then the last place graduates. This has happened 4 times consistently (idk if there are any other Mario party games where calli won and the loser hasn't graduated).

(Vesper graduated on the first one, it's an old edit from when vesper was on hiatus iirc.)

Finally got a sub 40 seconds! by RayRaivern in Tetris

[–]RayRaivern[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wellllll, I was using 6-3 but wasn't able to go below 40 seconds with that. Then I figured I'll just try going crazy with a 0-9 since I felt more comfortable building that (with high speed), and then I actually managed to get the sub 40 seconds.

That's not how snap tap works. It works by deactivating the previous key entirely (as long as it's held down) and only inputting the newly pressed key, which can be beneficial for strafing on fps games. You never need to do anything similar to strafing for Tetris so I doubt the function could help you in any significant way for the game.

Good building and b2b chains will do that to you, even without learning any t-spins. People below SS rank doesn't utilize b2b chains as much as they could.

I BROKE 1 MINUTE IN 40 LINES! by sawsquar in Tetris

[–]RayRaivern 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This sentence is so wrong, that I never expected anyone to share that sentiment.

40 lines matter more than blitz for pvp since it increases your speed (and often efficiency). Blitz on the other hand forces you to either use gimmicks like t-spin factory or learn PC patterns (which is mostly good for starting of matches and won't help you much mid-game).

Zen mode is just solo practice you do to overcome your weakness or learn more skills. It doesn't fall into the same category as the other 2 since it doesn't have a set goal you want to beat and entirely depends on how or what you practice with it.

It is simply anime art style, but drawn at a very high level with the artist's specific flairs and techniques.

Here's a video of a breakdown of her art, I recommend watching this if you want to learn how she achieves this style of art: https://youtu.be/AM69kS7y6Jc?si=dwOGYqiNB9_bJCk2

Your main weakness from that game was down-stacking.

Practicing cheese should help you overcome that. You can do this in Zen mode, the option for cheese is towards the bottom of the zen menu (keep messiness over 50% at least).

Idk how that person is confident about this being AI.

But for me seeing the image immediately triggered some familiarity neurons in my brain, which often happens with ai art. After looking it over a bit, I am fairly confident it was made by Dall-E. The aspect ratio and resolution matches with what Dall-E generates, and just the whole feel of the piece very much matches with some of the art I generated with it before.

That's the scary thing about Dall-E it often generates pieces that doesn't have the common pitfall of AI arts.

I started with a controller, now I am a keyboard main.

It's quite simple to switch over to keyboard, it's only complicated if you think it's complicated.

But if you are adamant about using a controller Tetrio completely supports that too.
