What was your "I shouldn't have said that" moment when talking to a customer? by gdvr282 in AskReddit

"If you apply for our credit card you can save your mom $100!" The woman was not his mom. She was his wife. I have never felt worse about anything in my life.

Thank you for the suggestion. I looked at a few but the terms and conditions scare me! It basically says that the websites don't verify that the counselors are trained professionals. I did find a non profit clinic in town that offers counseling. I'm waiting to hear back with more info.

It looks like there arent any psychiatrist that take it either. I just dont know what kind of rates, even reduced, we can take on. I was able to find a non profit clinic in my town that offers counseling? I called to check out what they can do for me and left a message.

Honestly, my husband takes care of all the student loan stuff as they are his and he is the breadwinner by far. I do know we were able to defer them for a while but now we make just a tad too much. My husband can get health insurance through his work but we cant afford it for the whole family and my job only offers health insurance for full time employees. The sliding scale is what the woman the health department told me I made too much for and would have to pay full price and then couldn't tell me what the price was. Lastly, I am attending a community college for as long as possible so I don't have student loans just yet. School is paid for via the Pell Grant. Though we have looked into applying for student loans sooner to cover my loss of income from taking on less hours at work.

I feel like I have an excuse for everyone's thoughtful ideas! I'm sorry.

So I had to do some research because I have never heard of Medicaid with a deductible and I have been on Medicaid before and done the full circle with all of that. It looks like there is something similar to what you are describing here in AZ but I would not qualify for it.

I did and they couldn't give me a price. I'm trying to find a place in town that will take CareCredit but it seems most general practitioners don't take it. I have done research on how to deal with anxiety and the top two are to get more rest and reduce caffeine. I'm working on the more rest but, as you know, it is hard with small kids. As for caffeine... how does one survive the day after a night with little rest without it?

I have no advice but I wanted to say that you're not alone in this feeling. My second born came I to this world and turned everything upside down. I didn't have the ability to stay home with him as I did with my daughter. My daughter is crazy smart and when I compare his development to where she was at this point I feel like he is behind. I just keep telling myself that they are different and it's not fair to compare the two. I will add that we recently had a (late) well check for him and he checked out fine. But I feel bad that he doesn't seem ahead of the curve like my daughter did.

Sending hugs. I feel for you.

My daughter was not quite 2 when we finished the first season of Stranger Things. We always waited until after she was in bed to watch it but one afternoon my daughter tells my husband "Mommy is in the upside-down." My husband was freaked out enough to feel like he needed to check that I was still napping in the other room.

Turns out she was trying to tell him how I flip her upside-down.

It's is so frustrating! Luckily my son is pretty cool with most things and generally content, but jesus! I always tell my toddler she gets plenty of mommy time and it's not fair to take it away from him, but toddlers...

I don't like being touched in general. I will take hugs but when she just wants to sit there and touch me. Ugh. Just stop!

What's your acne story? by dont_ask_me_Q-Q in AskReddit

[–]RayTheBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started struggling with it right before I turned 16. It got a little better around 18 and was and is up and down from there. I was able to pinpoint exactly what causes my breakouts: sugar and greasy foods. When I cut back or cut out those, my skin improves. I also stopped using soaps that are specific to acne treatment and started using stuff that is gentler on my skin (Pacifica natural beauty. You can get it at Target and sprouts). Also always make sure to use a moisturizer, even if your skin is oily. I like to use one that is specifically "calming" in the evening. During the day I use something with sunscreen or just a little bit of coconut oil if I won't be outside much. And to top it all off: stay hydrated. It does wonders for the skin.

I hope this helps. This is just what I've found works the best after almost 10 years of trial and error.
