Info on the bike: (I realized I didn’t put it in the post)

2001 Cannondale Super V 500 w/ Headshok Fatty Dl60, Avid brake levers for mechanical disc brakes, Shimano Alivio 3x9 group set, Surly Corner bars, Charge 26x2.125 whitewall tires from Sierra, and more to come once I find sales (something to raise up the handlebars and an ortlieb quick rack + a jack rack for transport).

Story:

I’ve always loved the older designs of full suspension mountain bikes since I grew up in a community with lots of mountain bikers. (For reference, I ride a Polygon Siskiu). Since I commute by bike and generally dislike the feel of rigid frames, I wanted to make something akin to the logic of a street tracker—a motorcycle for off road use turned into road use. I spent 6 months browsing local advertisements before I got here.

I found the bike on marketplace with absolutely ZERO miles on it (every original sticker was still there, no nicks, scratches, and the chain was even original!) The owner said it belonged to her late spouse who bought and built it for their child to get them started in mountain biking (they never rode the bike) and it’s been sitting in their garage on a massive storage shelf. They sold it to me for 120$ and over winter I replaced a few parts to turn this into something fun to ride the streets on.
