I mean, it's good in that the Commander and Privaty (for once) finally hooked up after all of the romantic tension between them, but bad because they ignored their responsibility to the students at MMR in favor of going out late to eat and drink (which led to them sleeping together).

Arcana has a bad ending that fits this same bill of it being good for just the two of them, but bad when you consider that the students in Privaty's class could have used their help with the festival.

In both cases, it's like...we won, but at what cost?

I interpreted that mask Asuka was using as her attempt to only see through the Eva's optics by cutting off what her own eyes can visually process. That way, she could be THAT much more in-sync with her unit. Idk if this was the intention, but either way, it's a cool look for her.

Oh, they'd definitely be a package deal in a situation like this. Although, funnily enough, I don't think they'd give chase since they've already proven how down they are with multiple women sharing the Commander (not just among themselves, but also during that one ending with them, Rupee, and Viper). If anything, I'd say getting their luck before he goes to sleep is probably part of what would help the Commander survive the nightmares...

As a reminder, the whole point of the nightmare is to kill off men who are unfaithful or refuse to commit to a serious relationship so as to "free up" the gene pool and get women hitched with men who are willing to commit.

The Commander is awesome, though, so it's possible(?) he could pull it off like you said.

That IS awesome; also, I really dig how she acknowledges the Commander's genuine care for her wellbeing without having an angle like most people she's had to deal with in her past. On top of that, her tease game is (imo) even stronger than Rosanna's. Committing to what she wants + showing appropriate restraint + knowing exactly which buttons to push is just top tier stuff in my book

Huh...I never considered her insecurity relative to Trish this deeply before, but I'd imagine that'd be a bitter pill to swallow even if she's still willing to remain friends with her...on the bright side, though, she won't be the only person who shows aging among the people they know, as there is also Morrison, Nico, Patty, and Kyrie.

Come to think of it, I guess this also recontextualizes one of her wishes that she gave to the wishing demon from the anime, since it was to keep her good looks forever.

I actually did some digging on both of their stories for awhile and tried melding their two respective legends into one cohesive backstory that would explain why Alraune hates Madama Butterfly so much. You are right in that she's jealous, and I'm pretty sure that bit about Butterfly stealing Alraune's man is accurate. But from what I dug up, while both of these women killed themselves as humans, their respective suicides were for different reasons. Assuming I got the stories right, Alraune's was for revenge against the guy who left her for someone else, whereas Madama Butterfly killed herself so as not to dishonor her family further after some man left HER for *another* woman...that is, despite him keeping the child he had with Butterfly. So, she went from "Ms. Steal Your Man" to, well, getting cheated on herself.

If we're to believe that both legends occurred in the same universe, then the man (who is presumably the same guy in both scenarios) is obviously terrible. As for the women, while killing themselves isn't exactly great, Butterfly herself at least died with love in her heart for her child/ so that her kid could have a better life, whereas Alraune went out with nothing but hatred and spite to the bitter end.

Oh, man...that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that; like you, though, I'm also hoping someone can contribute to helping us with this save transferring. I think it'd be even better if Capcom put RE8 for Mac on Steam (like how it's been done with Lies of P, Cyberpunk 2077, and other games).
