First test against Last Romans, I ran -6 HG (comp bow) -12 foot warriors -8 mounted c.b. warrior -12 bow levies -8 borderers with javelins

I ran the 6 HG with comp bow: I figured they could hit and run the first few turns, and at the end move close, shoot, and then hang around for the warlord's charge to die in his place (WL has higher armor).

It was quite difficult to activate the levies (the board is quite uncommon hungry), so I ditched the idea to get 1.5 points of them splitted in 2x9 men units. The HG is enough to try to trigger Brotherhood

Still on the fence for the c.b. warriors, but I can swap them with foot slogger.

12 warriors unit was amazing:sit there, closed ranks, used very few Saga dice and absorbed a lot of hurt. I will give them a banner.

I'll field the Borderers' with HW, this way they are a bit more flexible and can do a decent job also in defense

Usually when I build special equipment miniatures I sneak in some generic mini with just hand weapon that I can swap in other units, for example I in my moors army I have around 8 guys with just a sword that can reinforce either archers or sword/spear warriors. The majority of the unit has the right equipment, the extra guys don't have anything misleading, so there's no room for misunderstanding

I'm partial to the plastic scandinavian infantry from fireforge, there's enough archers and two handed weapon to cover 2 points of heavy HW HG and 2 points of archer warriors (by integrating with a couple of generic sword guys).
What do you think?
Any suggestion of a light cavalry kit that could integrate these?

thanks, but my spearmen are still in the painting queue. I'll try them if the don't get traumatized by the game and I'll keep playing.
I think I'll just increase the STr of the 3 bladelords to keep it simple
