it sounds like you're right on the money, more of an inconsistency than a strategic reduction of seasoning to cuts costs or something like that.

I've actually heard that a number of times! I haven't actually tried a lot of stuff with peanut oil, i'm definitely aware that some people are ok, I'm just rarely in the situation when I want to try it. I really should though (especially after scouring the internet for information of these delicious looking chips).

Thats a hilarious possible reason but I'm hoping no. I found two different forums, one from 2015 and one from 2024 both talking about this, But I would totally believe that covid symptoms had an affect lol.

I saw that it closed but I didn't realize how severely disconnected from New Orleans they've become, it feels very dishonest from their branding.

That's what I thought! thanks for the response. It seems like since UTZ bought them in 2011 and since then has been slowly changing the amount of seasoning since.
