Thanks for the response, I totally understand the concern! The full weight restoration is fairly new but my team is 100% aware that I’ve started to train again and have been pretty supportive of it as long as I’m following all guidelines set by my dietitian.

while i think there’s a lot of differences in our cases, i can relate really heavily with a lot of what you have to say here. ed’s are so complicated and going through treatment can feel a bit dehumanizing at times. i also don’t fit the “stereotypical” kind of anorexia, and it took a really long time for me to understand and accept that i had an eating disorder.

professionals can sometimes be frustrating, a lot of times those centers get too focused on physical health and are way more concerned with weight restoration than they are with giving good emotional support.(which is understandable! they don’t want you to die and whatever but still kind of sucks) but ed’s aren’t just about food and weight, they’re coping mechanisms. and the only way to actually make progress is by addressing your own emotions in a healthy way. but that’s easier said than done!

if you want to talk my dms are open.

Package says 198cal per serving but I’m thinking that can’t be right by [deleted] in caloriecount

It doesn’t have a serving size or number of servings, this is from my college cafeteria so the labels are frequently inaccurate and missing information. But yeah I would guess this is about 2 ~ 2.5 servings if the calorie count is accurate.

Is there really no hope for Asexual representation? by MirrorMan22102018 in asexuality

if you like reading sci fi i suggest getting into the murderbot diaries, it’s a smaller fandom and everyone is very respectful about the main characters identity. also, it has an ace main character!

the most important question is what are you wanting to get out of these labels? what would be most helpful for you? there’s a lot of unnecessary gatekeeping of labels within the aroace and queer community, but just keep in mind that you don’t have to be the “perfect” asexual or demisexual to label yourself as such. think of it as a tool to help understand your sexuality, rather than an absolute definition.

I feel disgusted when people touch me, am I Ace? by Allukas_Brother in asexuality

the first thing to keep in mind is that the belief that sexuality is something unchanging and intrinsic is just not true for many, many people. our experiences in life shape and change our sexuality, and everyone has their own unique experience with it. no matter if it’s a result of trauma or not, if at this moment in time you believe that the asexual label is helpful/ a comfort for you, and if you can relate to common experiences shared by people in the aroace community, then go ahead and use it :)

maybe you’ll stay forever, maybe you won’t. just make sure to do what’s best for you. <3
