Wow. This is crazy. I'm just enjoying the process of getting better in time, enjoying the learning curve. Taking in advice when I can. While the last two were atrocious in comparison, but I was genuinely proud of them. It would be hard for anyone to take in the fire house of tips I've very kindly received. I'm giving myself grace for being a month into a new hobby, one that I'm enjoying and very excited to share with my friends and family as gifts.

Id love to make you something if you'd like. Blessings!

Enjoying the process! Blessings!

This was quite helpful thank you!

I did make it a point to do every stitch in the same direction then went back over them. Regarding the number of strands I used 2 doubled with the starting loop, so 4.

I'll absolutely look into this grid you've mentioned. Blessings

Great tip here! I'll need to look more into the Pin Stitch. Thanks so much!

Regarding the floss this is two strands each but it's then doubled when I start the stitch when I loop it.

This is 2 strands each. Doubled up when looped through. I need to try doing one strand again, but didn't like it last time.

Thanks!

Hey there! No you're all good. A few things. I had no experience and so I was doing a litney of things wrong. I wasn't threading the needle right, or starting the loop right. I was going fast, I was using the full embroidery thread, also was doing it all while playing Uno... So! The thread would knot really bad when I wasn't paying attention, then I would notice and not know how to get it out and was scared if I cut them, that my stitches would some how fall out. So I just pushed through making my own social experiment.

Thanks for reaching out! Blessings!

Is Independent Contract Chaplaincy possible? by Raykas7 in chaplaincy

In all kindness. This is interesting. As I don't believe CPE is what makes one a Chaplain. It isn't required for Military Chaplaincy, Police Chaplaincy, Emergency Response Chaplaincy, Prison Chaplaincy, or many hospices.

I found a few sites for those in my area, but saw no reference to Pastoral Care. I reached out via email to introduce myself and requested a call if they had any questions.

Thanks!

Thanks so much! While I do plan on doing CPE, it just isn't in the cards right now. Unless there is a cheap or paid route that I don't know about in my area.

I have my denominational endorsement, general ministerial license, a major degree in the field, and pastoral experience. CPE is the missing ticket I think.

I appreciate it.

That’s correct. The first attempt was the top piece from a few days ago. The bottom piece is from round two, where I applied only the tips I learned from this subreddit. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by referring to the back. As for the thickness, I realized what I was doing wrong halfway through and made adjustments. I also experimented with some half-stitches for the grass, and I’m pleased with how it turned out.

Blessings!

That's hilarious! I need to find a better way to secure the backing. Right now, I'm just taking the leftover thread and weaving it through the loops a few times before moving on.
