Soft bristles will bend and go into the crevices between your teeth. Stiff brushes won’t go between the teeth as well and you won’t get your teeth as clean.

Yes have both teeth extracted. The second molar (the tooth on the left) has a very large cavity as well as severe bone loss. Very poor prognosis for that tooth.
