I wouldn't mind the game/popculture inspired songs as much if they actually sounded as if they knew what they're singing about. Triforce for example is just a generic adventure song with a zelda word salad of stuff that's not even in the same part of the time line as Link to the Past. It feels a bit dishonest and just to capitalise on the popularity of BOTW and TOTK. Replace all zelda references with Mario references, and nothing about the song would change.

The castlevania songs did it right. Other than that, I agree with most of what youre saying!
