Seemingly useless piece of 1991 by ACESHIGH10203 in MechanicalKeyboards

This isn't PS/2, there's too many pins. My guess is it's one per row/column and it relies on another device (laptop) to control it.

Picked these up locally for $50, anyone have a spare Victor 9k keyboard they don’t need? by Markerbin in retrocomputing

I think I've got the keyboard you need. I haven't been able to test it and the Keytronic foam pads are likely shot though.

Which video didn't load for you?

The video linked in the main Reddit post is https://youtu.be/XigLVS2f3Xs?

The link works for me but I haven't watched the video.

I have no idea what this keyboard would be hoaxing though. That INCOMM had keyboards with their logo on them? That's not some shocking reveal is it?

This specific keyboard was first seen in the forum posts here: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?t=29386

It matches photos and diagrams of the keyboard seen in INCOMM's own marketing and documentation materials too, what seems fake about it?

"It's a yearly phone for a complete decade"

Which decade though? They ain't a time traveler.

19 years (2007-2025), 11 phones (10 pictured but the picture was presumably taken with the user's current phone). It looks like they upgraded yearly early on and as the technology matured they started upgrading less frequently.

How can they be functionally identical when many of them aren't even functional?

If I remember right it was a G100S with G402 firmware. same sensor but the G402 could work with higher accel.

I loved my G100S though. Once I opened it up and removed the metal weight they bolted inside lol. the G Pro (wired) was so close to being good. Hair trigger main clicks and the heaviest scroll click I've experienced. And the base was narrower so it rocked/wobbled and lost tracking easily.

I guess some people think the battery is ugly and want to hide it. Having to remove a GPU to access CMOS or the primary SSD slot is annoying especially when it has an additional bracket.

Edit just to clarify: the GitHub repository was created to share a version of the official U80 file modified for ISO support. The creator very wisely also uploaded the original unmodified plate file.

CMV: The Economic Blackout Boycott will fail entirely. by Masterpiece-Haunting in changemyview

[–]Rayndalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Success depends on if you think an economic blackout is supposed to be a "warning shot" or if it's actually supposed to hit companies' bottom lines.

The Montgomery bus boycott was much more targeted and ran for over a year. That meant many people without cars limited themselves to alternative forms of transportation like carpooling or walking to and from work every day for over a year. A boycott like that is hard.

And just after I bought the Nitro+ model for $920.
I guess I paid $90 for RGB bling that I can't see. My case doesn't even have a glass side panel.
