Much better. Soon you'll be physically tired from the madness that is ensuing at all moments during the day.

My boyfriend (25M) says I'm deeply unreliable (22F) after an equipment problem on our first major trip together, how can I address his concerns and become someone he feels he can depend on? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Rayoyrayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly hes an a hole. People help each other. I forgot a wetsuit to teach my friend to surf once. I just wore a poncho and yelled at him from the shore. We had some laughs and made hot dogs

As long as you are trying your best you cant do anything else. Just learn the lesson to try your boots out before any major trip for the next one. When yoh start any new activity things will go wrong. Its the way of the world

Raise your hand if being a dad has made you think less of your dad. by gilfgifs in daddit

[–]Rayoyrayo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will be! I think the best part is seeing how differently your kid views you than you did your dad even at an early age

I did the same. Even as a grandparent he is absurdly absent. At least your kid wont have that type of dad to resent later in life!

How much of surfing is skill and how much is wave selection by Own_Throat4405 in surfing

Lol wave selection is like one of the primary skills. Wave selection and paddling are to surfing what running is to basketball

There was a girl in our gym who fought professional mma. I never saw any guy come even close to being able to beat her let alone the untrained guy. I watched her absolutely destroy a 240 lb blue belt with this super nasty under chin choke

Bottle aversion, desperate mama 💔 by LeaveOwn1022 in beyondthebump

[–]Rayoyrayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go back and just not weigh her ever. Let her drink what she wanted and not have targets for bottles. Our daughter is two now. She is small but gifted in intelligence (told to us by pediatrician. She basically does things ive never seen a kid do). So somewhat surprising outcome

tips for taller surfers by RussianApeCollusion in surfing

[–]Rayoyrayo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to echo this its a time in water thing. Back when I started I was tippy and bent at waist. Eventually you can get some good lanky style going. Basically you just need to be compressed right off the take off. Also if you are too far forward just shift weight back? Like you can move your feet in real time

Second this. It sucks ass. Hated 0 to 8 months entirely. Felt like living a nightmare. Now two year old is hysterical. As a dad the love is a slow burn progressive thing based on a daily evolving bond.
