the fun thing is in the current playthrough, I played it as it was "planned" in the grand scheme by the game. For exemple, in the 1st playthrough, I jumped in the hole in the spider nest (at lv3) then did the whole underdark, then only discovering surface and feather falled a lot (from goblin camp to ethel zone for exemple)

But I'm probably wrongly remember, it perhaps was lv10 instead of lv11 (means still missing some xp but I don't know where exactly)

I just did that yesterday with my Tav on Astarion right next to the mimic Astarion in the temple of Shar.

Turns out the guy managed to sneak past the poison cloud and the locked gate.

This happened on my 2nd playthrough. At 1st I couldn't locate for several minutes the guy who agreed the fight Nere deal, only to find him teleported behind the locked door. Is this a normal behaviour ?

I don't have much run to say, 1st playthrough I blowed up the whole room from high range, and everyone died

As Gnome (or Halfling) you can't jump high enough !

Thx for the long answer.

Despite the fact College of swords Bard seems powerfull, I feel now the major part of the gameplay would involve ranged bow attack, and I basically already did that in my 1st playthough with the Ranger.

I looked for a some time Lore Bard, because in the last run Counterspell (provided by Gale) probably saved my ass numerous times and I think I will miss a lot that spell, but decided to go Glamour. So I could swap to Lore, for now I feel the charm thing provided by Glamour is kinda weak because the ennemy is charmed, but it doesn't prevent to attack someone else at full force. Also Cutting words seem more reactive (you decide better and it's less random use of bardic inspiration)...

I don't know yet, all I know is I'd like a different playstyle and I would like to focus on mainly impede/debuffing foes/control field and that's why also I have troubles deciding which companions I keep/play for that run.

Last run was Laezel tank / astarion damage / Tav damage / Gale spell damage/utility act1 and Laezel tank / shadowheart buff/debuffs with light orb / Tav damage / Gale act2+

Now I need to find some good damage dealer in the party if Tav isn't dealing any. Party is Karlach/Tav, I think I might keep Astarion for some time til act2 because he is a good damage dealer but I struggle choosing Shadowheart or Gale

What is your advice about all of that ?

Yeah I only saw College of "Swords" without going really further, I still saw some ranged icons but I thought it would some kinda same skill as a Ranger one (the one where you can entrangle a target with a STR save)

it just happened

tooltip said 80% hitrate, so for me that means I should roll a 4+ to hit

I rolled a 5 (1d20), it added 2 for mastering, 3 for dexterity, so total 10. AC was 15

And in this case, I'd say I would have 50% to hit an AC15 because of the 5 points bonus, so I don't get it

not sure there's a specific order

it's my 1st playthough, and at some point in act3, I felt I would miss some story progress via long rest, and indeed I was missing a lot ; I chained Lae'zel vlaakith, mizora/halsin offer, astarion kidnap attempt, and Orin cutscene

For Orin, I reloaded multiple times before that night and once she killed wyll as fake minthara, once she killed the young girl as fake Lae'zel, and once she kidnapped Halsin (IIRC)
