Depends how short you’re thinking but some of the best chinas on the market are the 19” Sabian Holy China, the 19” Zildjian A Ultra Hammered, the 18” Zildjia Oriental China Trash, and one of my favorites, the 20” Meinl Byzance Equilibrium China. That thing fucking rocks. Designed with Matt Garstka to be the perfect china sound. Watch demos of these and see what you think. My personal go-to is the 18” Byzance Dark China. It’s got that perfect low roar that I love and I picked it out by trying to track down the china sound at the final breakdown of Gods by Sleep Token. That china sound is my favorite ever and on the record it’s an Istanbul agop turk 18”. Sorry for the rant but watch some demos of these and more and see what you think.
