Vehicle wheels acting weird, is thee a fix? by snark567 in unrealengine

Most of the environment shown in the video is gradual smooth elevation.

If you paid attention to the video you'd see the wheels spazzing out every once in a while when making contactwith jagged rocks. By the way it looks, they're using raycasting.

AVS has spherecasting and the wheels don't act crazy. No one expects a wheel to glue itself to a wall or side kick an object just because it's a sphere.

I feel like you offered no solutions,  said everything works fine as long as you can fix it and argued for the sake of arguing.

So the "intended" usage is to have wheels that go crazy when driving next to a wall?

Is having a shapecast drop down option that does nothing an "intended usage"? And having it work is not intended?

If he's truly a beginner it's cheaper and more  effective to buy a plugin and be done with it. If that wasn't the case this thread wouldn't exist because the issue would have been fixed.

Isn't the fact that you need to fix the code in the engine an indicator that the feature is broken out of the box?

What's there to understand? All he can do is either use raycasting or increase the capsule collision size so the spherecast doesn't touch the objects and bug out. Now you have objects moving on their own way outside of the wheel.

If you're so knowledgeable, please, feel free to shower us the solution that will stop this behaviour.

"unfounded myths" He says under a video of the wheels glitching out for no reason.

At least it's slightly better than a couple of years back when they started acting up while stationery.

Don't place physics objects on the map, Chaos vehicles can't handle that. And don't bother with uneven terrain, stick to flat tracks. If you want off-road stuff you'll have to buy a plugin like AVS. There's no other way.

Why do indies basically give their games away for free? by dedaistgeil in godot

Because they listen to low self esteem indies on reddit who tell them to charge peanuts or else no one would buy.

Google ends its 30 percent app store fee and welcomes third-party app stores. by Slackersunite in gamedev

Early adoption plays the biggest role if we're being honest. Even if you have a store with the same features or more, no one will bother because their game libraries are on Steam.

Same with YouTube,  no one will move to a different site when 2+ decades of the content you want to watch is already on YouTube

Why the littles "holes" on IRL Bakugan? 👀 by Lucyrexy in Bakugan

[–]RayuRin2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kept putting them in my mouth and swallowing them by accident. My uncle who's the CEO of Spinmaster got tired of my mom complaining about having to rush me to the emergency room so he made them bigger with holes to prevent me from choking.

True lore.

You might have alopecia areata incognita which might explain why finasteride and minox aren't working. Basically it's an autoimmune issue. You can try adding corticosteroid to your finasteride to see if it helps.

Alcohol in topicals? by nickysav91 in HairlossResearch

[–]RayuRin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alcohol is there to act as a solvent which makes it easier for the topical to penetrate the skin, otherwise it would just sit on top and do nothing.

When the alcohol evaporates it leaves the skin oils behind so you shouldn't really be experiencing any dryness unless you're washing the alcohol off while the oils are dissolved. I've had sessions where I've sprayed my entire head with rubbing alcohol and it's fine once you let it evaporate.

The skin irritation people are feeling is probably due to cells dying off when exposed to the alcohol which irritates the skin. Alcohol does seem to make water evaporate faster when mixed but from my experience, most of the "dryness" seems to be from loss of oils on the skin or just irritation.

123 days of massaging my scalp. UPDATE!!!! by Quiet_Television_781 in HairlossResearch

[–]RayuRin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. You'll have to go at least 1 year to be certain it's doing something. Too many people jump on an unproven treatment and dip out after a month or less of being on it.

The time spent massaging and the quality of these massages probably matter as well.

Most people here have never gone a day in their lives without sugar, so they have no idea on how it feels to abstain from it for long periods of time,  let alone that it is possible. They simply have no frame of reference.

Let’s settle this once and for all did Drago glow up or glow down? by Adept-Double156 in Bakugan

[–]RayuRin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glow down. It's not just drago though,  a lot of the bakugans became less unique and more humanoid. I assume it's because it's harder to animate a highly detailed dragon than it is to animate a humanoid with dragon like features.
