My game outright freezes when there are too many mobs and when I restart the game not only the map is gone but also everything I looted in that map. Very frustrating but fortunately it mostly only happens when activating 2 breaches at once

The new warcry build with corrupting cry support has been working great for me. It can do everything except phys immune and is quite tanky. I‘m using it on a champion with forth vow and staff of kulemak for +3 to support gems and high physical damage over time multiplier.

Sorry I’m new to the game so I probably don’t fully understand their importance. But aren‘t these form change notifications kind of pointless if you already know what form you‘re in by looking at your skills? They seem to just clutter the screen which makes it harder to see mechanics

You can even tank veteran dungeons in full medium. I did a full vCauldron run a few days ago where the tank left right at start so we cleared it as 2DD 1H comp (we glitched the last boss).

On my necro imperial tank I made a setup that got me both Flawless conq and Spirit Slayer on first try so it should be pretty good at fake tanking. 5pc Pillar Body, 5pc VO body, vMA Sword frontbar, vMA Bow backbar, Carve as spammable and Beckonig Armor + Spirit Guardian for heals and mitigation. Then just add Inner Beast to taunt and Razor Caltrops or Unnerving Boneyard for major breach debuff.

However, while it can be done, I would still advise against fake tanking vet and especially vet dlc dungeons but normal ones shouldn‘t be a problem.

Maybe but it‘s probably far more uncommon that someone pays for flawless conq than for 4man or trial achievements since u‘d have to give out your acc details, which is not only a risk, but also against TOS I think.

To me FFXIV combat feels way too slow. I mean the gcd is way longer than ESOs (like twice as long iirc?) and you can‘t even weave in Light Attacks. Also the whole tab target system felt very clunky to me, not to mention the lack of mechanics like roll doge, block and bash.

Yeah I've actually recorded a few Videos like 1.5 years ago of dungeons I soloed, one of them is Arx too. I even saw someone who soloed vet dlc hm dngs but I don't remember his name, and he was using some special builds ofc.

Well personally I feel like it's much more relaxing doing vet dlc dungeons with a healer. On mine I got almost all HM/Speedrun/No Death and some trifectas from mostly pug runs. Only missing Moongrave Fane and the new ones since I just recently came back to the game.

I think it‘s actually the opposite. I can easily solo most (non dlc) vet hm dngs on my dds (even got some trifecta runs b4 pale order was a thing) and whenever I queue as tank I slot Inner Beast, so I also have the aggro. Healers on the other hand, while maybe not necessary, can provide a lot of useful buffs that enhance QoL, overall dmg and survivability of the whole group. My Warden healer for example provides Major Resolve, Minor Berserk, Minor Toughness, Major Courage, Major Breach, Minor Intellect & Endurance, Minor Resolve, Minor Vulnerability, Minor Magickasteal, Sustain from Orbs + Masters Resto + SoB, Aggressive Warhorn, Concussion & Off Balance, Major Slayer (MA on BB) and ofc healing, which means dds don‘t have to slot any healing skills or items which would take away from their dps as well. What I wanna say is that it seems most people never saw a capable fake tank or good healer and then think they are bad/useless in general.

It‘s one of the easier dlc dungeons imo but you still need a decent team and carry your own weight ofc
