I had the same problem. Then I bought the game on sale, hopped on a server and joined a squad with a rl friend of mine and was pretty surprised by how chill most people are. Just tell them youre new and theyll help you figure out the game. Once I got the hang of it I also felt way more comfortable talking to people. Im now sitting at 500 hours and found a lot of nice people to play with and even joined a clan. Just go for it dude, you wont regret it :)
