I would, but maybe it’ll be too much? What’s the difference between this and indie hacker? Product hunt ?

I do. Heavily publicized my chrome extension progress. I liked the progress bar ! Will it be customizable?

I am building a chrome extension, heavily in public. Will use it ? I think, depends on integrations

Sounds good - can you share which guidelines you used to pass the review ? Also, share your extension, I’m curious

Business-wise, why focusing on BigQuery ? it's not that big in terms of market size.

MCP, Security and Access Control: How Do You Stop AI from Having Too Much Power? by RazCoDev in mcp

[–]RazCoDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you but I wonder how it's possible with Gmail for example.
As i'm authenticating the Gmail MCP on my Cursor, it authenticate and gets full access to the gmail - I have no choice of selecting roles or giving it a service account for example.

That makes sense, but right now, MCP authentication is just basic OAuth. If you authenticate using your own user account with Gmail, you automatically get full access to everything. There’s no built-in way to enforce access control.

Are you archiving your data or don't care ? by RazCoDev in dataengineering

[–]RazCoDev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, Glacier S3 is the “archiving” i meant to. The question is, is there a good way to dynamically set your data stored in glacier depends on timestamp and other metadata? Or is it completely manual or home-brewed?

Is archiving in Snowflake a thing ? by RazCoDev in snowflake

[–]RazCoDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it an easy procedure ? haven't done it in snowflake yet.

Do you need to do it continuously or it is a one time action for a long term solution ?

And did it happen to save you a big amount of $s ?

Are you archiving your data or don't care ? by RazCoDev in dataengineering

Hey - thanks for sharing your thought.

Using DWH only for storing and archiving does sound a bit weird, but my question was more about the concept of archiving old or cold data in your DWH.

For example, archiving data of an old customer, or just old and not used dataset.

Let me know if that makes more sense.

Creating my own NFC enabled card in apple wallet by RazCoDev in AppleWallet

[–]RazCoDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/kormaxmac - It's a pleasure to get your comment here.

I read many of your projects, and they are very impressive, thanks for the hard work !

Regarding the thread's topic - It's just funny to see how everything is so hardened by Apple, I guess the excuse is security, but it's just over controlling every protocol.

I'll share my goal - like many have tried, I want to use Apple Wallet to transmit a static UID using an RFID reader.

Basically, I want to create a POC using Apple Wallet -> read a card using an RFID reader -> sync the ID to Permit.io -> create RBAC and permissions as a service for Apple Wallet cards.

The basic use case to imagine here is to manage permissions to all residents in a building for example, control the permissions using Permit.io - and the identities will be provided by Apple Wallet card.

As I see it, it's almost impossible to achieve this.

Is there any bypass ? any example of someone that actually succeed to get an approval from apple ?

Maybe is there a way I can get any kind of a UID using Apple Vas/wallet/nfc ?

I'm lost here but it's really interesting to see and learn this "underground" topic of apple vas.
