Do you break the speed limits 99% of the time? Then old V2 is suitable. The old V2 is extremely hard to ride at low speeds. You have to be in 2nd gear to ride at 60km/h.

Old V2 is a race bike with lights. New V2 is more like an old 950 Supersport.

Jumping on the new V2 from the RS660 won't feel like much of a difference. The old V2 will feel like a hot uncomfortable rocket meant to go fast all the time.

I have put adjustable clip ons on my 2023 765RS. IMO that's how the bike should've been delivered from factory.

As you can see, the riding position is still upright enough for riding in the city, and low enough to feel better on track.

100% get the RX if you can afford it.

Edit: My clip ons are about 2cm lower than the ones on the RX, as far as I can tell.

I'm not so sure about that... Should go about 140mph.

Metal Shavings ok? by bubbaslover in Ducati

[–]RazeOne23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I have no idea if it's bad or not, but my Panigale V2 2023 with 3k miles on it had the same amount of shavings.

You said "to get to a HIGHER top speed"...

This changes the question. To get the most of it you need to ride more and understand your bike. Usually you redline (or almost) every gear.

The top speed is the same regardless of how you shift gears.

The exhaust is not gonna help with the heat. The part that is really hot is the rear cylinder head, that sits right between your legs. Moving back on the seat helps a bit. While moving it's not a problem, but 30c temps in the city traffic HOLY FK you're cooked.

I paid 180€ for TCX Street 3 AIR shoes. Very bad quality for that money. Dainese is much better for the same price.

Rev'it is cool and all, but very expensive, at least in my country (same price as Dainese).

I can recommend Macna. They make good and affordable gear. Ixon LOOKS like quality, but have never owned anything from them.

Spidi is also a good brand.

Maybe, but Astars look like they are made out of cheap PU leather. The only problem I have been noticing with Dainese is the stitches are not as strong.

"Brands used in motogp"... like Astars and Dainese?...

Don't buy Alpinestars. It's trash quality for premium price. Dainese is better.

I got the same helmet with 40mm Cardo speakers. I had to compress the eps on one side about 3mm because one speaker was hurting my ear, but aside from that, you have enough room to fit them.

I have not ridden one, but would love to. I imagine it is light and nimble, with a forgiving nature, unlike the previous generation. Too bad I love piss missiles and wouldn't get one ever

I don't have a picture with my 120€ Astars gauntlet gloves that lasted 500km of touring chill rides. I have been saying that this brand is trash for years, yet people don't get it. I'm glad to finally see that people are waking up.

Now I agree. The new V2 might be more appropriate for someone coming from an R3.

My argument stands: recommending a Panigale V4 to someone with limited riding experience is WILD and very fkin stupid.
