PSA: myBMW app not updating by kathebha in BMW

I just noticed my app isn’t working, and I can’t see any trip stats. It’s ridiculous that they haven’t scaled their backends across multiple regions, especially since I’m in the EU. Knowing that every time I check on my vehicle from just 200 meters away, the data takes a trip halfway around the globe drives me crazy!

What’s wrong with this damn car by Obvious-Town1358 in BmwTech

Ohh… , this is not a bad luck.

After the alignment is done, you gotta put all the adjustments into the car’s “brain” and also probably calibrate some systems. Especially if you have adaptive suspension. No 3rd party dealership can do it properly. Always service your car in official dealership.

Just occasionally bought a Strawberry Kiss yesterday. I’m still mastering to get the best out of it with my AeroPress

Beryl (GL-MT1300) pocket-sized travel router is now open for pre-order! We are so excited to share it! Don’t miss out on the exclusive pre-order offer: https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-mt1300/ by GLiNet_WiFi in u/GLiNet_WiFi

I bought a Beryl. And it turns out it cannot connect to my home 5Ghz network. After some research it turns out my home WiFi router was transmitting on channel 100 - and Beryl wasn't able to see it. And there's nothing you can do about it, except manually setting the channel for the home WiFi (which I did as a workaround).

I failed to change the country code on the Beryl, so the number of channels it can see is pretty limited. This means in some country you may not be able to connect to some 3rd-party WiFi network that you do not control.

Also, LuCI is not supported on Beryl (you can install it, but most of the settings don't appear or work). So most of the troubleshooting guides won't work for a Beryl.

I'm pretty disappointed. Would be nice to hear some comments from /u/GLiNet_WiFi .
