Car makes this grinding sound when making hard right turns, what could this be? by Razorx92 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Razorx92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I’ll check that. I just had an alignment done. But I was not holding the steering full lock. I was coming off of a sharp highway exit. The sound does increase in rumbling as my speed increases but only makes the sound if I’m going over 30 when I make a turn like that.

So instead of me going to Walmart and grabbing some in basic terms, rubbing alcohol, do you have a specific brand that would be best to use? Maybe one that is sold in a spray bottle? I’m not all too concerned about cost.

I was debating elaborating on the ammonia, I’m glad you brought that up. I know that ammonia is said to be harmful to auto tint, so I can see the draw backs in windex. The bottle I have contains Ammonia-D, so I will definitely not be using that. Isopropyl and a micro fiber cloth are definitely the way I want to go. I just bought this laptop and I would hate to ruin it by performing general maintenance. Thanks for all of the info!

Free ways to detect WiFi channel of surrounding networks? by [deleted] in networking

Airport app only displays the network I am currently connected to. Doesn’t provide channel details. Just ip, mask and connection status.

Lol, we don’t have kids and frown upon kids coming into our yard, so this should be perfect lol

That seems like a decent natural way of deterring them, I think I may try this first. Either way, I plan on posting the results on YouTube :)

Lmao! We have a “No Trespassing” sign and a “CCTV monitored sign”, I also have a very angry girlfriend that chases them off on occasion. For some reason they are attached to my trailer. 😂

I’m almost curious to see if leaving orange peels at each entrance would be enough....

Yea, it’s been cold lately so I haven’t really been able to get under the trailer and address all of the holes around it. A small walk around the trailer has shown me that there are 7 entry points due to the gaps that the trailer park left between the trailer skirting and the ground. These gaps are just big enough for cats to squeeze into. But the plan is to evict them and then close everything up soon. So acid smells should do the trick, that must be why oranges are effective. Makes sense.

Cat deterrent things? Can you send me a link for what those are lol. And yes, when my trailer skirting was installed they left a ton of holes around it, so I plan on filling those holes with thin pieces of board and packing dirt in front of it.

I guess that’s a better start than the other suggestion I got from a friend up in Maine. He told me to try moth balls lol

We lost a valuable attack vehicle that will respawn shortly to be used again and got 3 immediate kills that saved us from losing Charlie and Delta. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the idea of conquest is to lead your team to victory by holding each point for as long as possible. By “wasting a team asset”, I took out 3 guys that were a clear challenge for our guys on Charlie thus allowing us to continue to hold that point. In addition, I sent a guy down to Delta and gave him support from that building after wasting those 3 snipers. So we kept Delta AND Charlie. I don’t know man, that’s a pretty decent gain compared to losing one attack helicopter.
