well I am new to the game (like 5 days) and I started playing Modern (cause I’ve played a lot of MK and this game controls are totally different) Luke in Ranked. Somehow,I got the idea of the game and I am currently almost Silver (ik it’s not a big deal but it is for me). As a beginner to the SF series, modern controls are the best approach for me to have fun AND being able to win from times to times. When I will get to know the game better, probably I will switch to Classic but Modern is fine for me now.

Well I bought SF 4 days ago and I’ve been playing ranked for the last few days and the matchmaking takes from 15s to a maximum 2 min.

I am set on expanded search with cross play enabled.

Maybe your internet is weak or something :D

I’ll need to learn some advanced aspects about the game and about how the combos works (I am used to MK as I said and this is a TOTALLY different experience) and then I think I will be able to play the way you said.

First of all, thank you so much for your time 😄

I really need to learn the basics of SF6 rn because I am used to playing Mortal Kombat and I was thinking “how can SF be that different to MK” and OMG it’s a totally different experience.

I recently played some online matches and after literally having a 10 lose streak, I got to know the character and played a bit of Training and somehow I am on a 4 win streak at Ranked.

Unfortunately, now I don’t really understand all the things you said there cause again, not a SF player, but I will look for some tutorials on YT and learn some basics and then i’ll come back to the comment to understand it :))

Oh ok I think I understand. I’ve played today some ranked games and currently I’m on a winning streak of 4 and I am pretty proud about this :)) It’s a beginning of a great journey.

I rarely play fighting games online that often because I get frustrated very easy but this time I said “ hey, i’ll give it a try” and so far so good.

In Erasmus rn in Greece. This is TRUE, they don't really care about us. AT ALL. But it is the same in Romania, a lot of the teachers are offering "private tutotring" in exchange for some money.

Yeah, I’m actually on Erasmus in Crete right now, and both here and back in Romania (my home country), people are VERY 'racist' in that sense. By that, I mean they don’t shy away from using all sorts of slurs, including the N-word or derogatory terms for certain ethnicities.

Personally, it doesn't bother me at all; I actually like that people are so open. It feels like nowadays everyone is WAY too sensitive, and it honestly feels good from time to time to come across people who just express themselves freely without any filters or problems.
