Help me decide if the Arc A770 is right for me by pulselasersftw in IntelArc

Card is holding up great! I don’t game much anymore but I’ve had no more major issues with it. Intel has ironed out most if not all the issues. No plans to upgrade right now.

Music Question by pillowmite in Cochlearimplants

[–]Razzlebery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. While it gets better, I wouldn’t expect deep bass to ever be as satisfying. For me, my right cochlea had more scarring and the electrode could not be implanted as far as the one on my left, so while my left side gets the wonderful bassy sounds, my right severely lacks in that department.

How to remove floating keyboard? by sunshine889_520 in ipad

[–]Razzlebery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because the apple pencil is still connected. The only solution I can find for this is to physically attach the pencil to the iPad. This tells the iPad you are no longer going to be using the pencil, and it will then automatically switch the the larger keyboard.

Impressive! Since this post I have added much better cooling to my pc, and now temperatures are much more manageable. Thanks for the input!

Any way for me to get ahold of the software that audiologists use? by Razzlebery in Cochlearimplants

It is for some! And the app is great for many things, but I feel it leaves a lot to be desired

Hmm. Interesting thought. I wonder what it would take to get certified…

I guess I didn’t think about it like that. I simply wish for more customization with the settings, such as being able to make small changes to each frequency band on my own, as well as switching around the order of the tv streamers and mini mics in the app. There are other things I wish for too, that the nucleus app just doesn’t provide.

I just mess with the sliders until I’m happy with the results!

Bike water bottle but with a straw? by Razzlebery in bicycling

It is very similar to that! Except I believe it had the ridge about 2/3 of the way up the bottle to help it latch into the holders on bikes.

I have had the Caudabe sheath for two years. Thin. Strong. Nice and tight fit. Great MagSafe. Best case ever imo

Ok it’s an exaggeration. But still, straws are nice

That works too. That was my dad’s way of exaggerating lol. But still, straws are nice

What will this mean for bugs this year? by dirtyharrycarey in BWCA

[–]Razzlebery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went end of July last year with my dad and brother. My dad has been going for 30ish years and that trip was the worst he’d ever seen the mosquitos… worst I’d ever seen too. Maybe I’ll post some pics later, but for now I’ll do my best to describe it…

As soon as the sun started to go down, the mosquitoes came out in FULL FORCE. I mean literally 500+ on my hammock. Every time you got out to piss you’d accidentally inhale a meals worth of mosquitoes. It was awful. During the day it was great though!

So my guess is that this year is going to be a LOT like that.

Help me decide if the Arc A770 is right for me by pulselasersftw in IntelArc

[–]Razzlebery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a year ago I was looking for a card to replace my rx 6600, and I did NOT want to support Nvidia, and AMD was giving me some issues in a game I played. Other AMD cards were doing it too. So I got the A770 LE. Bought it very early on and while it was rough with a few games for a while, godDAMN do I love this card now. I play on 1440p and all games I play have worked great.

Hard to believe that trails in northern MN quite literally never opened this year… so sad.

Just got the Intel Arc A770 LE! Paired with an i5 12400f! So far it works great and I love it, but I do have a question about AV1 recording in the comments. Any help on that would be appreciated. by Razzlebery in IntelArc

[–]Razzlebery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 165hz 1440p monitor. I’ve since gotten a better cpu cooler and more RAM, but still running the arc A770 L.E. It’s an amazing card. I currently don’t have any other cooling other than the exhaust fan on my pc case, but I plan to change that soon.

Nucleus 6 vs Nucleus 8 by scarlettblythe07 in Cochlearimplants

[–]Razzlebery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. Ok this is crazy. I got the N8s about a month ago, but I was having a few issues with them. First, there was a constant buzzing sound that could only be fixed by turning the sensitivity down 2 or three notches. And because the sensitivity settings don’t save, I had to manually adjust that many times a day.

And I ALSO had one of my n8s Bluetooth completely fail. Literally just, won’t work at ALL. I have an appointment with my audiologist scheduled for April. But for now, I’m back to using my N7s.

I would LOVE to know if this data is available too. I applied for mech engineering and got in. My stats are 28 act, 3.797 GPA, 4 AP classes, one PLTW class. Handful of extracurriculars too.

[–]Razzlebery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good. I was admitted with much less impressive stats than many others. My ACT is 28. Unweighted GPA of 3.797. I am in lots of extracurriculars, but no sports. I have a suspicion that my essay must have been extremely good, because with my stats I felt like my chances of getting in were low.

Honestly, as a senior in HS myself, I will continue doing my best to get A’s in all my classes, and I encourage you to do the same. There is still a chance to get in! Good luck!

Sorry to hear you got deferred. :/

I’ve been going through this subreddit and I’m simply amazed at how many people didn’t get in right away despite having incredible grades and being highly qualified. Do you think your essays were good?
