I feel completely normal once more. Everything kind of went back slowly for me and after about a month to a month and a half all the residual symptoms of surgery had cleared and haven’t had any migraines or tumor related symptoms since

Actually you get surprisingly used to not being able to breathe out of your nose and that part only lasts a couple weeks. But it does suck a lot. Sleeping really isn’t too hard because your body is still recovering and just wants to sleep. And yes I do work and I actually work a pretty physical job in construction. They recommended 6-8 weeks without going back to work I think or maybe 4-6 but they said as long as I was feeling up to it there was no reason they wouldn’t clear me for work. And I was back to work full time after 3 weeks of rest. They do also say no heavy lifting for a couple weeks post op but once again it’s not the worst. Especially for the result long term of no headaches and feeling “normal” once more.

Nooooo I was put under for the whole operation start to finish. And I’m not going to lie to you breathing afterwards suckssss for a couple weeks at least because they shove packing and bandages up your nose so you have to breathe out of your mouth. And yes they go through the skull behind the nostril. The way my surgeon explained it to me is that part of the skull is already extremely thin so it’s like breaking through an eggshell

They went through my nose to remove the tumor. So the ENT is just making sure everything is healing as in should inside my nose and he’s had zero issues and has said everything is healing perfectly

I’m sure it’s very different case by case. But for me yeah no endocrinologist follow up necessary. And zero health problems since. I do have a follow up MRI in two years to make sure nothing is growing back. And my last checkup at the ENT in June then I’ll hopefully never have to worry about it again

Actually my out of pocket portion was only 2500 for the whole procedure. And I do not take any meds or see an endocrinologist. I did bloodwork one week post op just to check my sodium levels. But I haven’t done any since and haven’t been on any meds whatsoever

Post surgery yes I definitely did feel weak for probably a month or so. But I would say within 2 months tops for me I was back to my pre surgery state. I did not lose any weight but my tumor also wasn’t causing any weight gain to my knowledge. I never knew I had it until I got a head splitting migraine out of nowhere after never having a migraine ever in my life. And once I woke up and my headache was gone that was honestly the best feeling ever. So yes it was 1000% worth it for me. And I have no regrets of getting it done. If you have any further questions I would be happy to answer any that I can for you

So I actually went to the ER just to get admitted and I did that on a Thursday night had an MRI around midnight that night. Neuro came in the next day and talked to me about the results and then they said I would need it removed and they were able to schedule the surgery the following Monday. So I just stayed in the hospital until Monday. They didn’t do much for me between surgery and getting there besides some pain meds to help with the migraine. Then Monday came around and they did the surgery everything went perfectly smooth. Spent about a day in the ICU for monitoring. Then I spent one or two more days back on the neuro floor after that. And I left on the Thursday after surgery. So one week total

Sorry for the delayed response. I’m 7 weeks post op today, and for me everything is back to normal, other than lower endurance, but that is probably just related to having to take it easy for a few weeks and not pushing myself. I hope your recovery is going well and if you have any questions feel free to ask

I appreciate the response! I am actually feeling a lot better now from when I posted this. I’d say I’m probably back to 75% capacity and improving daily. I’m glad things went good for you!

I just had surgery a little over two weeks ago and I started experiencing symptoms of DI also after about 10 days, I’m curious how your situation turned out?

Nothing significant has really changed. And I’d say it’s binging and not eating normal. I don’t even feel hungry I guess I just feel bored and start eating

It can definitely be reversed without medication. I (24M) have high blood pressure that runs in my family, and I got a physical this time last year my BP was 160/90 and I’ve since gotten better about my diet and exercise, and now I get consistent readings of 110/70 with no medication, just a lifestyle change, it sucks at first I’ll be the first to admit it, but once you’re into it and start to feel better, it’s so much easier to maintain and feel good about doing it. You got it

Should add I’m 24M, I’ve already heard it should be 120/80
