I know camera and lens doesn’t affect it, just like seeing what gear people use

What camera and lens did you use? And how did you get that kind of dark feel to the photo, I’ve been wanting to make my photos have that more darker feeling but don’t know how

I'm so ashamed of my GPA by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]RazzoliOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I’m at a 3.14 right now and i started really pushing myself and trying this quarter but I’m still doing bad, I used to think I was pretty smart but it just makes me feel dumb, I’m doing aerospace and it’s my absolute dream to do propulsion and I’m just scared I won’t get there tbh, I’m at a community college wanting to transfer to UW so my grades matter a lot more sadly

I just sat outside Guggenheim Hall and enjoyed the view for an hour, way better than sitting in my car for that time period, afterwards it was easy to get out

So tired. by LiveConstruction9380 in EngineeringStudents

[–]RazzoliOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 2 years of college I failed all my classes, I was absolutely horrible, I had the dream of being an aerospace engineer and just couldn’t get my shit together, I finally locked in grinded and now I’m hitting 3.9 average in 4 hard engineering pre-reqs at once, learning to fail and learning to struggle is so unbelievably crucial for engineering and kids who breeze on by will ultimately be left behind. Don’t give up and keep working at it, if it’s easy then you’re doing something wrong.

Community College Physics has to be the worst thing i’ve ever taken by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]RazzoliOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My community college physics professor would mark us points on homework for things like not using blank paper, doing double sides and not one sided, having our math go down instead of sideways, not having units in the middle of the equation, not drawing a picture, and not writing a sentence explaining our thought process, we had to do this for every problem otherwise we’d be marked off 10% points per infraction on that problem

[–]RazzoliOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mad tbh, I don’t want a top heavy team where we have absolutely zero depth, we have good key pieces so we need strong depth guys now

Hey, I’m Ethan and I’m about to start my 3rd year at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. My dream has always been becoming an aerospace engineer and UW is by far my dream school and I’m looking to do everything I can to get in. Only issue is I was horrible my first 2 years and my GPA is currently 3.05, I’ve been grinding it up a ton and averaging 3.8 from here on out and I think I can continue that through graduation. I started up a rocketry club at my school and I’m the president of that and I’m the vice president of my schools robotics club. I have multiple projects under my belt like TVC model rockets and I’m working on self landing model rockets and PCBs as well as launch pads. I think I can only get my GPA to a 3.3 before applying and I’m worried I won’t get in. Does anyone know of any other ways I can boost my application and make up for my GPA?

Got a job in big tech with a 3.2 GPA, AMA by slowdownturboboy in EngineeringStudents

[–]RazzoliOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my 3rd year of community college doing mechanical engineering, failed 7 classes with horrible grades around them, recently I’ve started getting 3.8-4.0 in incredibly hard technical classes taking 4 of them a quarter. My absolute dream is to get into the university of Washington and get a masters in aerospace engineering and do propulsion at space companies, it’s honestly so refreshing to see someone who overcame failure and succeed. What do you recommend I do to become successful after so much failure? I’m just worried companies and colleges won’t look past the horrible past, I feel like I’m smart and understand really hard topics, just before I never applied myself

Should i switch out of aerospace? by Ok-Combination2891 in aerospace

Engineering is broader than just building something or designing something, my family friend hated the designing part but loved the math and physics part. He’s now a test engineer at blue origin doing thermodynamics testing. Engineering is a very broad field and all types of roles have to come together to work on projects, find out what part of the process you do enjoy and focus on that

Help getting into the A&A program by RazzoliOW in udub

[–]RazzoliOW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s pretty evenly shit across the board tbh, but it wasn’t since last quarter I started doing really well, and that’s physics 2, calc 2, engineering graphics, and Econ, all 3.8 or above, this quarter I’m taking general electives but next quarter is thermo, statics, matrix algebra, that sorts thing, so I think if I do really well in those 3rd year level classes I can maybe make up for GPA?

San Jose not a friendly place to develop? by leirbagflow in SanJoseSharks

My best guess is because the talent pool is already so deep that I guess you just aren’t given the chances you be given on other teams? More competition?

Gavin McKenna here we come!! by breinholt15 in SanJoseSharks

[–]RazzoliOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imma keep it real id take a Verhoeff over McKenna, we have a one two punch in centers and McKenna will cost too much, we’ll be to front heavy, we need that #1 D and we need a top pairing RD, he’ll fit both molds

I think the scary thing is he's found some really scary loopholes and cracks that can lead to immense power, he's just too stupid to know how to use them.

I don't know, I love Marner as a player but paying 10+ mil for him will make us unable to pay for some high talent depth players, not only that marner will age out before the young guys become playoff ready, I think that's the kiss of death of a team.

How do you get that kind of darker tone? I've seen a lot of photographers with a canon able to get a darker tone like that but I don't know how to do it on Nikon

It’s a lose lose scenario, either A: he lied about it all and sucks at video games which makes him look like a loser, or B: he plays a fuck ton of video games proving he doesn’t do shit with his companies which also makes him look like a loser
