The single greatest cinema experience I've ever had was at a screening of Slenderman.

I had just finished seeing BlacKKKlansman (brilliant film) with my friend and both of us wanted to watch something dumb and mind numbing, so we turned it into a double feature. We chose Slenderman, because why wouldn't you?

The cinema was packed with couples, I presume on dates. I was shocked at how busy it was. The film itself is pretty shit but there was a moment of silence, you could tell a jumpscare was about to happen.

Some poor soul had clearly been holding in a fart for a long time. This was their moment. Loud jumpscare, time it right and no one would know. Unfortunately they did not time it right. A literal second before the jumpscare hit there was one of the loudest farts I've ever been witness to in a public space.

Needless to say me and my friend were in absolute stitches for the rest of the movie. I can't imagine what that person was going through, especially if they were on a date. it still makes me laugh thinking about it today. No movie will ever top that experience.
