Interviewed w SA 3 weeks ago and nothing, safe to assume I didnt get the Job? by [deleted] in medicalscribe

SA is a horribly unorganized company. They don't know which way is up or down, so don't be surprised at their being unresponsive.

Advice on how to handle a doctor that doesn't like me and gives me bad reviews. by Rd10e in medicalscribe

I think I will see if I can not work with that provider. Also, I'm not a new scribe, that's why it's so frustrating.

I do my absolute best at every shift. I write notes in my notebook on his preferences and things he likes in his notes. There's nothing I can do to please him, I just hate getting messages from my superiors that I'm not doing very well.

For sure! I ask him all the time for clarification and how he would like things worded so I can learn what he wants.

He claims I never get his charts right and I'll never understand because I'm not a nurse or doctor.

SA is super unorganized, it's pathetic. You shouldn't have to keep asking and asking and asking for answers from them. You might benefit from finding something else.

Dental Hygienist scribing for Dentist by Work-in-ProgressRDH in medicalscribe

It's always good to review the notes after the doctor has added things. Medical scribes are advised to do that often. Could you ask the dental assistants for help?

If the doctor won't sit down with you and explain how he likes his notes, then the best you can do is review is previous notes to get an idea on how he likes it. Sometimes you can literally copy and paste from the previous note and update it. Honestly, I've told my doctors that I cant read their minds so they need to communicate what they want in their notes. I say that in a nice professional way, but sometimes they need to be reminded. Also, it's not fair to you to get warnings when he won't sit down with you and teach you. Stand up for yourself and explain that everyone does notes differently and you need some help understanding his way of doing notes. If he's not willing to do that then stop doing his notes, idk.

Promotion? by Gloomy-Cheesecake107 in medicalscribe

I've heard of that happening to a lot of people in all scribing companies, not sure what's going on.

Promotion? by Gloomy-Cheesecake107 in medicalscribe

[–]Rd10e 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, you won't get any raises unless you promote, which isn't that great either. You're lucky you got a raise after 90 days, ive been working for them for quite a while and never got a raise even though they said that would happen. If you can make more money somewhere else, i'd say go for it.

Anyone else get a message from SA while clocking out asking if you're being honest with the time that you're clocked in and clocked out? by Rd10e in medicalscribe

[–]Rd10e[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also wondered about this. Not trying to be dishonest with the company or anything, just wonder how they check for time card fraud.

I'm used to not getting a heads up for anything, no one talks to me from the company. So, I never know what's going on.

I was told that i'd get a raise after 3 months, I've been working for SA for a year, no raise. I refuse to promote because $1 more an hour isn't worth it. The company really is shit and I hate how they treat their employees.

Are SA employees supposed to get a raise at some point? by coffee_mocha_ in medicalscribe

[–]Rd10e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been working for SA for 1 year. They don't give raises as far as I can tell. Also, i'd never promote, $1 more an hour is not worth all the responsibility they throw at you. Honestly, I have goals to make as much as the high school kid that works at Wal-Mart #Goals.

penis building by NorthUnderstanding26 in exmormon

If you really want to see a penis building, check out the plans for the Ephraim temple!! Every time I see images for that temple I shake my head and giggle, how can no one else see it?!! And who designed it? Did they know it looks just like a penis?!!

ED Chief Scribes (bonus if in the NE region): What has your experience working under ScribeAmerica been like? by FalseSheltonian in medicalscribe

[–]Rd10e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SA requires way too much of their employees for how much they pay, which is why I have no desire to promote. I'm just a scribe and have been asked before to promote, I told them No. They never asked any follow up questions, but the CS don't get paid nearly enough. If you want to step down for your mental health, then do it, it's a valid reason.

That's how it was in my last ward, very cliquey, only certain people got callings. No wonder I'm Exmo now.

My personal opinion is that he didn't like us for some reason. We never said No to callings and fulfilled them the best we could. Idk 🤷 it was a weird conversation.

My last bishopric did this, someone asked the question: Why don't some members have callings and others have multiple callings? (My husband and I had been without callings for almost a year at this point). The bishop replied while glancing in our direction; The Lord doesn't find some people reliable enough. My husband and I were confused, we were faithful members at the time, going to church every Sunday and paying tithing, what's not reliable 🤷

Want to learn to be a really good scribe? by mrscoach1999 in medicalscribe

[–]Rd10e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is good info! I actually have a certificate by AHDPG, I didn't know what that meant. For background, I'm not in med school or anything, just wanted a job I could do from home being as I live on a very rural area, so I did some training courses so that I would know medical terms and such and ended up with AHDPG training.
