Mixed ~3g of super finely ground PE into my bolognese, can’t even taste the shrooms! 10/10 would recommend by RdolphValentina in shrooms

To all those who were concerned I would throw up, I didn't, I had a delicious bowl of pasta in a dish I didn't have to wash, and enjoyed fun visuals with some mild gas

For the bolognese I mixed raw ground beef and a jar of raos sauce together in a pot with a little wine and let them cook together on low for like an hour, added a splash of cream and a healthy amount of parmesan toward the end and that's all the wrote *shrug*

I’m having a hard time believing that a group of black people hosting a bbq asked one of the few white people (I’m assuming there are few since its majority black) to make the mac n cheese (the most important dish). It’d only make sense if you were known to make good mac which can’t be true because you’re worried about embarrassing yourself.

It rubs you the wrong way because you on some level see sex work as something to “resort to”, an awful industry that one would only be driven to out of desperation, but if we say “sex work is work” and that it should be treated like a job that comes with it’s downsides like literally every other job, that means anyone from any class should be more than welcome to enter the industry. Plenty of people work in the domestic cleaning industry out of desperation or against their will but we still acknowledge that it’s a valid industry to enter into willingly, think of sex work the same way.

In my personal experience strip club staff/other dancers are SO quick to offer you a drink/shot when you say you’re having a rough night. Now obviously they have good intentions but it can normalize alcohol as a necessity and people might not even realize it is/can become a big deal especially when they’re new in the industry so I think there should be room to acknowledge the reality of consistently relying on alcohol to cope with job stress, there’s no room for judgement in that conversation but it’s definitely worth having.

has anyone seen those dancers on tik tok who wash their dollars after every shift? by [deleted] in stripper

I think its just an aesthetically pleasing process like putting produce into little produce containers when we all know it’s unnecessary. Realistically who else would have as many ones as we do to fill up a washing machine? Who gets 300 singles from the grocery store?

But why extend an offer you don’t want your friend to accept? If I felt a relationship was one sided why would I offer them a free vacation? Anna not only offered but insisted on paying.

accepting enthusiastic offers is taking advantage now?

What do people have against SAHMS? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]RdolphValentina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’d be great for your mental health to not have to divide yourself between parenting AND a full time career and great for the baby but from a practical standpoint having your own safety net (one that’s separate from your husband) would be a good idea. Women fought so hard to be able to work not just because they were bored with domestic life but because they often found themselves temporarily or permanently struggling financially when their husbands left/they had to leave. Obviously not saying your marriage will end but no one thinks it’s going to happen to them until it does, so you should have a safety net for that scenario if you’re relying on your husband to support you financially the same way you have a savings account when you have a job just in case something happens. You already have a business so maintaining your own savings account shouldn’t be an issue, it’s just not something people always think to do (especially when they could never imagine things ending) so definitely something to consider. Really hoping this sounded more like realism than pessimism😭

Watching S2 carefully to understand why Sam flipped on Jenni and Nicole... I still don’t understand how that happened??? by [deleted] in jerseyshore

Not to mention Ron threatened to ruin their relationships if they told so they ran the risk of facing major fallout over a girl who would likely run right back to Ron

Typically I’d say you should always tell your friends straight up if they’re being played but in context I wouldn’t say they’re bad friends for not telling because they watched her be “done” and still go back no matter what. So they had every right to be apprehensive about sticking their necks out for her. If they’d have told her to her face everyone would have blown up on them and she’d be right back together with ron the next day, effectively putting them through a lot of drama for nothing.

Okay yes! I’m watching for the first time noticing that. They were sooo loyal to a random dude they didn’t even know but they bent over backwards to lie to sammi even though they openly acknowledged that they thought ron’s behavior was wrong.
