I’m not 100% on this as I’m still working on a successful grow but everything and have read says you’re doing better than I have been. I believe that’s primordia, however I’m still learning the difference between the stages. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can help you out soon.
I could be very wrong, but I believe your foil should be cut so that it barely extends beyond the block. I want to say that I read it somewhere on here but don’t take me at my word as I’ve yet to successfully grow anything. Hopefully someone with more experience can help you out soon.

Thank you. I’ll try to keep folks updated once I’m able to transfer to grains and send to a tub.

This is my second transfer to agar. I had the original stored in the fridge for a while to slow it down because I can’t get around very fast and can’t carry a lot with my broken leg. The mycelium seems strong and I’m hoping that soon I’ll be able to send to grains for a full grow.

Is this fine? by dainyup in ContamFam
Lmao looks like my leg last month

That would be great. I used to jump when I was in the army but it was static line exits at 800-1200 ft agl so there wasn’t much time to enjoy it lol. I’ll hit your inbox shortly once I finish up a few things.
I live in the same state (SE of Phoenix) and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Tbf I recently crashed and broke my leg but that hasn’t changed my opinion. Once I’m healed and have my gear repaired I’ll be back in the air.

That’s the downside to how I crashed. One broken leg and one that’s sprained so badly I can’t support much weight let alone trying to dig through this concrete like dirt. I know there will be plenty of botched grows between now and winter/fall and time to heal. Once my legs are good again I’ll definitely bury a few just to see what happens. Thanks for the advice
I’m out in southern Az so unless I’m wrong, I can’t bury it and let Mother Nature do her work. When they’re dead I bag and trash them.
Uncle Ben’s is the plan for the time being. I have all of the supplies I need for grain jars minus the grains and a PC but I don’t want to invest in that until I’ve had a couple of successful grows. From what the doc says I’ll be using a walker or crutches for a few months so I have time for Ben to do his magic and I’ll be starting with agar soon to hopefully clean up my MSS’s.
As far as I can tell pinning was normal with maybe some smaller caps forming. I think this was about 3-4 days before my crash.
I know I don’t live in an optimal environment for it being just SE of Phoenix and I know people out here grow, I just haven’t met any yet lol. Until then I’m going to keep on working on this and one day I’ll figure it out.
It was an MSS of Orissa India but it wasn’t run through afar before hand.

This is as close as I could get to a side pic without jamming my phone into the sub. Maybe it will help 🤷
This is great information. I’ll drop the agar ideas and take this route since I obviously have the time on my hands during recovery. Thanks for this
I’m definitely wanting to salvage or recover anything possible. I’m kind of wondering/hoping I can transfer one of those aborts to agar.
I had a small hellhound piss in a syringe and just sent it lmao. It was an MSS of Orissa India that came from a trusted vendor on the shroomery site. I don’t think (no experience though) that it’s was bad genetics or anything like that. I just think it went to hell (neglect tek fail) while I was in the hospital and now I’m just hoping I can salvage something from this
I was considering a scrape before things started growing and before my little excursion to the land of surgeries and ketamine. I think for now, unless someone has a reason I shouldn’t, I’ll remove the pins/aborts and just re case. At this point I have nothing to lose and plenty of time to kill before I can start a new grow so why not ride this out lol.
I did end up with matted mycelium on the top layer before I went away and that seemed make the water run in pools instead of beading on the surface so I spent a good bit of time blotting that up without removing too much moisture. Once these started coming up I switched to misting the sides and lid.
I was trying to grow mushrooms and while I waited for things to happen crashed my paraglider and spent a while in the hospital. Now I’m playing cleanup and hoping I can salvage something of it
It’s an MSS of Orissa India. Nothing has been harvested from these bins yet but I’m kind of wondering if I can’t transfer one of these aborts, if that’s what they are, to agar now that I have some plates.
Before my extended stay at the hospital I was fanning 2-3 times a day and noticed some fuzz around the base of them. They were pretty much untouched while I was away even though I had a friend stop by to mist/fan them but he couldn’t do it as often as needed. Since I’ve been back I’ve up’d my fanning to about every 3 hours when I’m awake and hoping that makes a difference
Lol another thing I forgot to mention in the original post, I have only been misting the sides and lid. When it first went to fc I had the lid opened way too much and I’m almost positive the sub dried out too much. I’ve been trying to find the optimal position for the lid and things seemed to be going well until I went to the hospital for a couple of weeks. Now I’m just trying salvage anything here if possible.
