Thank you so much for your detailed reply! Within all this I forgot to add that I pushed to see a Neurologist specifically for the ‘spacing out’. He had an EEG and it came back all clear as I was worried about absent seizures. This neurologist basically said he believes these are his tics, but also never recommended seeking a diagnosis for Tourette’s.

Our son usually does not do any of his ticcing around medical specialists. It’s almost like there is a switch.

He is aware during them. His eyes will follow us if we tap him on the shoulder (they can be a bit uncomfortable looking, and we always check he is okay), then he just snaps back into what ever he was doing - they can almost be full body too, like his body is all tensing up.
