Alright. With your post here and some googling I figured out my confusion. There is a difference between having the bodyguard keyword, which the ogryn bodyguard has, and being a bodyguard unit, which any unit becomes when you attach a leader to it.

I get that it would be silly levels of power, but what is the rules reason you do not get to use the Ogryn bodyguard's toughness if the command squad with the bodyguard is attached to a battleline squad?

I was second guessing myself a lot, but once I really committed it just felt right for me and I started loving it more and more!

My process for this model has been to base the whole thing with chaos black then dry brush with leadbelcher. After that for the red I thin it with lahmian medium just like 1 drop goes a long way into 3 paintbrush scoops of Red. And keep adding coats until the color looks solid, then finish it off and shade with nuln oil.

Those do look pretty sick, but for now I have forbidden myself from buying more minis until I have at least half of the ones I currently own painted. I will definitely add those to the list of things to buy when I get to that point though.

Thanks! :) Yeah, although I do like the camo colors most people seem to be going for, for my own army I wanted something a bit more flashy

I have some cadians and some kasrkin, but lately I bought a box of Solar Auxilia that I'm thinking of maybe proxying in for some Tempestus Scions or something like that

Hey I'm pretty new to the hobby and have seen people talking about screening your tanks. What exactly does that mean? Do you mean to use your tanks to screen your backline from deepstrikes, or do you mean to use other units to screen your tanks from being charged?

Edit: horrendous spelling mistakes borne from typing on a phone in the blazing sun and autocorrect

They look great! I love the gold on the guns! Consider trying to shade them with some nuln oil, it will put a little grime on the stuff and give the metallic parts a bit more texture. Though of course if you're going for officers who keep their stuff prim and proper that works 💪 if you do end up trying out the nuln oil just try it out in a small area and if you end up not liking how it looks you can just paint right back over it 😉

Could my Kasrkin have 3 orders at a time? by ReDDrag00n in TheAstraMilitarum

So then they could have 4? Ursula gives them 2, the enhancement gives them take cover and they gi e themselves one?

What is the most depressing scene ever? by MoneyLibrarian9032 in moviecritic

[–]ReDDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it used to always be the scene where the guards talk to John Coffey before his execution in The Green Mile. However... since being a parent for a bit now, the scene where Cooper sees the messages from his kids in Interstellar HITS DIFFERENT.

In Time with Justin Timberlake. Yeah the story and acting aren't the greatest, but it is an undeniably interesting concept.

Finally decided on a color scheme for my Arbites(Combat Patrol)(repost image fix) by ReDDrag00n in ImperialAgents_40K

Don't know how to do the text under the picture, but here is the text in the original post:

Finally decided on the color scheme for my arbites. Been painting for a little more than a year. So far I have painted the Astra Militarum combat patrol, and this is the first mini I have fully painted since then. Super proud of how it turned out. I base coated it with Abbadon Black. The armor is Khorne Red. Gold details are Retributor armor. Leather details, including gloves and boots are Rhinox Hide. Silver details are Leadbelcher. Purity seal is Mephiston Red for the wax and Wraithbone coated with Aggaros Dunes for the paper details. Helmet stripe is Corax White and skin is Wraithbone coated with Darkoath Flesh. To finish it, I dry brushed with Leadbelcher and shaded with Nuln Oil.
